Why were the actually shops practically empty? I didn't have to queue for more than 5 minutes at any of the tills (and that was in M&S). Oddest thing I've ever seen.

Anyone else braved the high streets and found the same?

Probably because most people I know are still at work today and don’t finish until 5 pm.

Coffee, food, nails, look at the lights

All things I’ve been to town for but I’ve bought everything online

It's "mad Friday" they're all in Wetherspoons!

Barbararara · 20/12/2019 15:55

I’ve noticed that too.

It was heaving in my town centre this morning at 10am. I only went in two shops and left. I think tomorrow will be busy though as a lot of people I know were paid today.

Yes I’ve just had the same thing happen to me when I nipped to the retail park to collect a parcel, barely any parking spaces and the shops (except Costa!) were empty!
