A gift voucher by email that can be used in Madrid

I'd like to get a voucher for my brother, who lives in Madrid so it needs to be something he can use there either at a shop or online. It needs to be a voucher that can be delivered to his email.

He is in his mid thirties, quite thoughtful by nature and considerate of ethical and environmental issues. He and his wife both work from home in a very small flat so won't want clutter. They don't have children or pets. He likes eating and drinking at home or out, reading, world music, dancing and is very sociable and keen on learning new things. I gave them hotel vouchers for their wedding earlier this year as they like to visit different areas of Spain and I think they still have some left, so wouldn't do that again yet.

Amazon?

you could get a voucher for a meal in a restaurant like this, which is described as 'he grill in Madrid where you can taste rice, meat and fish of the best quality with one of the most genuine flamenco shows.' (they have live music and dancing along with a winery onsite from what I understand). you would need to contact them as they don't list gift vouchers on their website, but if you wrote this (hola, ¿vendes vales de regalo? Me gustaría comprar uno para (AMOUNT) si lo hace.Gracias (YOUR NAME)) then they should get back to you, letting you know if it is possible or not

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions and thanks also for the Spanish wording.

I tried to buy Amazon vouchers from my UK account for my Nephew in France. It turned out that UK vouchers can’t be spent on non-UK accounts, do yiu need to be sure that your brother still has, and uses, a UK Amazon account if you are going to send Amazon vouchers. Same for iTunes.

Cineraria · 20/12/2019 21:24

Thanks for that. Very useful to know. I hope you were able to resolve it for your nephew's gift.

Those bars with flamenco shows are always cheap to enter then they charge 100e for a drink, so I wouldnt do that. There is a popular coffee shop chain calle Juan Valdes, the main department store chain is El Corte Ingles, Most of the Art galleries and things are free on Sundays anyway.
Sorry, not much help!

CallaLilli · 20/12/2019 21:33

Is El Corte Ingles still around? Maybe a voucher from there?

BikeRunSki · 20/12/2019 21:35

@Cineraria - I ended up Paypaling some money to his mum/my sister for him in the end, so no real resolution. Thus year I’ve fallen foul of nit bring able to post aftershave internationally.

Thanks for the advice to all of you. It's all helpful.
