Who got a Secret Santa present that they actually liked?

I did! We did ours yesterday and I got some clip on bright flashing lights for running which is exactly what I wanted (and I think were a bit over budget).

There were quite a few nice things. Even the jokey presents were pitched to the recipient's actual sense of humour and nothing was offensive and/or total shite.

I haven't seen a good SS thread this year but some of you must have had decent presents?

I was given The Kite Runner (yay, not read it, looking forward to it) and some orange Matchmakers (yuck, who likes them). Pretty good year tbf.

I got Neal’s Yard Mother’s Bath Oil. I’m pregnant and love baths so a great present. I’m pretty sure whoever got it went over the £5 limit though!

I got a little xmas tree with little presents tied to the branches with chocolates inside, and a bottle of mulled wine. Lovely.

Me! I got my bottle of prosecco back in a game of evil santa!

I did, at work we all work remotely so used an online secret santa to draw the names which meant we could connect it to our wishlist.

Yes but we opt in to Secret Santa and all participants give suggestions of what they want, so we know if someone is diabetic, or veggie, or wants something sparkly etc.

Me!! I got toblerone, a little music quiz, vinegar and two car sponges. I know that sounds totally weird but they are perfect for me! The secret Santa really thought about it and just have been listening to me talking. For mine the colleague and his wife just had their first baby, I personalised a wooden box and decorated it with little sparkly flowers so they can use to keep special memories. (And I got him four beers!)

I got a lovely Liberty Cracker with toiletries in.

I got a gin gift set. Definitely get put to good use.

Me! I got vodka and some gardening tools with my name on! Perfect gift for me.

Me! I got Deep Sleep spray because I’d be blathering on about how well dd had been sleeping since using it. I’m a much nicer boss when I’ve had enough sleep

well me, but ours wasn't entirely serious. We were at dinner with a group of friends and everyone had £5 to spend on a charity shop crap present.

Best of both worlds, we had something funny (and hours of fun at the dinner table) and money went to charity. No crap mug and chocolate sets, re-gifted bubble bath or hastily bought bottles of wine.

Oooh I did! I was talking with my secret santa about how much I enjoyed ready player one (the book)

Then I received a ready player one Extra Life quarter and lots of 80’s gaming inspired socks (tetris, Pac-Man, space invaders etc). Right up my street!

I did. I got some incredibly thoughtful gifts. We are always away in our stealth camper van and I got some stuff that will be awesome when we are next away.

DH got a nice bottle of wine. I got a poem that didn’t really rhyme.

Me! I got dangle bollock bike lights and a personalised wine glass, have wanted the bike lights for ages

I got a reusable shopping bag with my favourite band design on it, some fluffy socks and chocolate coins 😍

Me! Lots of chocolate (8 months pg, so even more appreciated than usual).

I did, I asked for it to be donated to charity, it was, I got a card with where it had gone in it. We are away so doing a less is more Christmas this year. Perfect.

I did - a bag of German Christmas goodies. Yummy!

I'm in a SS for a fan group of a particular author and the gifts have to be relevant to the book series. This year I got chocolate and wine which was lovely. Previously I've had some other brilliant groups. My favourite was an appropriate 1950's single which although I have no way of playing looks fab next to my book collection.

Sorry, brilliant gifts.

I got labels, sharpies, wax discs, jam pot covers etc. Brilliant gift. Someone at work pays attention!
