Present from DH. WWYD?

I was having a snoop (as I always do), and just seen that my DH has ordered me a Jamie Oliver cookbook that I already have and that now costs £26 (I paid £8 from the book people).
Should I tell him and have him cancel/return it and have him be cross that I snooped? Or leave it and have him waste £26?
(I know I shouldn’t have snooped btw)

I'd tell

I think I would just get my existing cookbook out and make something from it and hope the penny drops!

Say something

Neither - find a sneaky way to let him know you have it! Either leave it out on the side visibly, and decided to use it to cook a dinner and then have a chat about what a good book it is OR bring up "oh did you hear that company "the book people" is closing? Such a shame. I got so many good books from there - I got my Jamie Oliver cookbook for £8!" etc etc

The book is in the loft, and I can’t get up there. Might confess to my sister and have her tell him.

I told him.
He's understandably not happy with me, but is glad I told him.
Thanks all.

Why did you not just wait?

You could have told him when he gave you it rather then telling him you have been looking!

I would have been up in the loft and would've cooked him something from it and had it propped up on the dining table so that that was all he could see.

Did he buy you the other copy, too?
