Any ideas for good board games you'd recommend for 6year olds please? Ones we can all play as a family?

We’ve already got junior monopoly, junior cluedo, junior game of life, robot face race, bugs in the kitchen, dobble, uno, guess who, hungry hippos, pop up pirates and dinosaur race, and he’s getting labyrinth, kersplatt and junior scrabble for Christmas. I just fancy one or two more as well.

Rhino hero
Azul
Carcassonne
Takenoko
Reef
Pandemic (collaborative so doesn't matter if they need help with their moves)
Deep sea adventure
Nyet
Exploding kittens

My six, turning seven year old, also loves Exploding Kittens and is getting ‘Ticket to Ride first journey’ for Christmas.

Orchard do some lovely games for that age range

Rummikub?

And they have a million versions of dobble now.

My 5 and 7 yo are really getting into chess and draughts. They also love card games, go fish, memory, snap, there's so much you can do with a pack of cards, including solitaire which is nice for some calm time :-)

Ds is 6 and loves mousetrap.

Also Blockus is good. Dh and and I also enjoy it and it gets quite competitive! Very good for spatial skills.

Dino dump. It's a card game. My 6 and 8 year old love it and play it most days. You can play it as a family too.

Junior ticket to ride or junior Scotland yard.

Thanks all think we'll go for either Blokus or ticket to ride first journey. Just trying to decide which one now.

Mine loves

labyrinth
Isle of skye game
Sorcerers cave

If it influences you at all I may or may not have flipped the Blokus board and stomped off when dh and I played after ds was in bed. GrinBlush

We have a standard games compendium and my 6 year old enjoys Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, Draughts plus a few other random games in it - she also really enjoys Snap and pairs with a deck of elf cards we got from the pound shop last year.

Sometimes the simple ones are the best :)
