Please help. I'd love to get DSs one each in stocking. DS1 has one already but actually wants another (WHY). We bough in V&A shop of all places but the things have been around for aeons. It is: a wooden stick like a slim pencil, upon which is mounted a tight coil of paper. When you flick the stick at someone the coil of paper shoots out really really far and takes out the mantlepiece.

What the bleeding fuck are they called so I can find them online?? They cost pennies.

I got ours from Hawkins Bazaar. Return all your other presents, when your kids see these everything else will pale into insignificance including the pricey playmobil and hand crafted wooden swords and carefully chosen board games and handknitted jumpers and chocolate and funky gel pens and and and .

@SleepwalkingThroughLife I got one of those fortune telling fish things from Hawkins. My dad has never seen one before and spent the whole of Christmas age 68 "telling people's fortunes, isn't it genius?!"
Mind you I did find also him glued to finding nemo so maybe he's just a giant kid
