He is my son, so I should be able to come up with ideas, but I am stuck! He earns a very good salary so can buy his own things, he really has no hobbies except music (we bought him a new guitar for his 18th) and computers (again, new one recently). He is not into clothes, grooming products etc.

I want to spend about £30-40.

Help!

Headphones?

mummmy2017 · 15/12/2019 16:46

A watch.
2 Cinema tickets, boxed with popcorn and sweets.
Undies.
Socks.
A teddy bear.

What about a book of guitar sheet music?

fedup21 · 15/12/2019 16:53

Portable charger
Funky socks
Car phone holder

Ludways · 15/12/2019 16:53

My ds is 18 and we've bought him concert tickets.

Now, see concert tickets is a great idea, but I already gave the idea to my mum to get him. That always happens - best ideas go to family despite me saying every year I won't do that!

Absolute no to anything that smells - he will not use aftershave. He is a software engineer - none of them care about clothes! T-shirts and jeans and hoodies. Of which he has thousands.

Yes to funky socks and underwear. He loves them and I have them already for his stocking. Same to phone charger. He just bought himself new headphones too sadly.

Sheet music is a good idea but I am not sure what he would like. I will ask his brother and see if he has any ideas!

He loves food and I did consider a pie subscription but they are £30 per month! He still lives at home so no need for kitchen gadgets etc.

Sorry, forgot the cinema ticket suggestion - one of the perks of his job (there are many!) is he gets massively reduced cinema tickets. He took his younger brother to the cinema recently as he gets them so cheaply.

I've ordered my 18yo DD one of these for Christmas

Printer

You have to order the photo paper separately.

Nando’s vouchers is what I’ve given the 16 and 18 year olds in my life, at the suggestion of their mum.

'Pickmaster' guitar pick punch? We've got one for DS1, he's always losing picks!
New strap for his guitar
Distortion pedal (Boss DS-1 is very good according to DH and DS1)
