We have PIL coming for dinner.
Should be a fairly relaxed day as the toddler and teen only opening a couple each that day as we're doing 'Xmas day in boxing day' as DSD comes Xmas night till boxing night. So the whole gifts and stockings being done then (teen understands and toddler has no idea)

The only thing doing in respect of that is bringing all Gifts down out of Hiding and putting in garage either Xmas eve or night as quieter for santa to put under tree etc.

So back to the food.
Were doing pork and beef. And poss a mini turkey crown? ( I don't like pork but ILs got it) both joints are huge! And thinking to cook Xmas eve.?
Then the beef maybe slice up and put in Gravy in slow cooker Xmas morning..Yes/no

Make Stuffing balls, cover and fridge
Peel / cut carrots, parsnips, sprouts, broc.

I want to make a cauli cheese too but was hoping could be done Xmas eve and then just re heat Xmas day... Never made one so need a simple recipe please

I'll be 36w pregnant then so trying to make it easy. Altho dh has said he's cooking.

The potatoes ill peel that morning as for some reason I don't like peeling night before as I think they go watery.. Or am. I being silly.

I think you’re doing too much yourself and not buying enough ready done. You are 36 weeks pregnant! (DS was born at 36+3 btw)
If there’s only 6 of you, do you need 3 joints of meat? Could you do a ham instead of pork in the slow cooker?
Buy stuffing and cauliflower cheese ready to go in the oven. Buy gravy in a pot or do a make ahead version and freeze.
Just potatoes and sprouts/ carrots etc to prep then- and I do them all on Christmas Eve morning personally.

3 lots is too much but inlaws want the pork And beef they have purchased and put in. Y freezer. . Ds and I want turkey.( will get a small crown) . Will use rest with bubble and squeak /cold meat and salad boxing day . and make a curry with leftovers to freeze.

When I say Stuffing was thinking paxo so easy

Like the idea of ready made cauliflower cheese. Im. Sure I've seen that in tesco.

DH will do as much prep and cooking as he can but he's working Xmas eve...poss a 12pm finish but is down till 4pm. So I'll put meat in oven before popping to my mums.. And maybe start one joint in slow cooker?
