Classy/understated Christmas jumper

I am meant to have one Christmas jumper on Monday. I hate the idea of them and have actually got a sweatshirt that had the writing "this is my Christmas jumper " on it. I usually wear this when needed. However for Monday the woman who is running it I like and I think she would get hurt if I wore this.

So anywhere I can buy ( and have delivered before monday if not accessible for me to get to) a jumper that will pass for a Christmas jumper but I actually can use again? I tend to wear very clean lines and prefer earthy colours and pastels but I do wear splashes of colour too any suggestions?

Asda had a few nice ones like this. It was reduced too

Think they also had this one or similar and it was on offer too

Next have got a few jumpers that are sparkly or got stars on! In my opinion, they’d be ok.

I’m wearing a sparkly Mint velvet star jumper as my Christmas jumper next week.

I have a star top in green from mint velvet perhaps if I tram that up with something red. Will have a look I Next. Not near an Asda's

Next has a good range this year, I bought this 100% cotton sweatshirt as I prefer them to sweaty acrylic jumpers

Mine is from a charity shop but originally M&S - it just has a nice robin on

Just look for a nice classic wool fair isle design - Woollovers may have some - people have come to associate fairisle with Christmas jumpers but it's a classic and ancient design and I wear it year-round. Lovely with jeans. But because of the association in some peoples' minds, it'll read 'Christmas jumper' to them.

Red or green cashmere v neck is as far as I will go for a Christmas jumper. I loathe all others.

Could you pin some Christmas baubles or tinsel on the top you have? We had Christmas jumper day at school today and loads of kids had done similar as they are all very eco conscious.

Thank you I think stars are the way to go. I am not usually a jumper type of person much more a cardi girl..

Check out fat face. Theirs are more argyle type designs and quite wearable.

Or poke the bulbs of battery operated lights out the holes of a normal chunky knit jumper. Very over-the-top festive without needing any new clothes at all.

JoJoSM2 · 14/12/2019 08:50

I like the idea of a Fair Isle jumper. I’d probably just wear a dark green jumper and add a Christmassy broach.

JoJoSM2 · 14/12/2019 08:51

Brooch that is.
