What are you getting for your FIL?

Ideas needed please, so far got him a calendar with all 11 grandkids pics as I know it's something he will use.

He's recently widows so dinner vouchers etc are out of the question as he won't use them.

Help!

This year for my DF I have arranged an outing with the family.

He is impossible to buy for as he buys for himself whatever he needs and isn’t the least bit interested in ‘fancy’ stuff.

FiL - set of two drones that he can play with grandkids
Father - band of brothers boxset; he’s not seen it, but I know it’s right up his street

Got him a bit set of DVDs about the history of steam trains and a voucher for a day hire of a narrowboat - he's not never been on one and said he before fancies it, but his health isn't up to a weekend or week on one. But a day will be fun - DH can teach him to steer, I'll do any heavy work, MIL will enjoy the nature and scenery - the dogs can come and my DPs and DD, so it'll be a nice day out with a pub lunch for us all. Only potential problem will be stopping my DF from hogging the steering - I'll have to lure him to the front of the boat with fudge and cider

My husband chose him some kind of torch he wanted. I didn't buy anything! Dh also bought my dads gift (ratchet spanners!)

I chose the mum gifts this year.

Its my fil 1st xmas without my lovely mil.
Hes ckming to ours for the first time over xmas, he hasnt a loud crazy xmas for a while but he will need the distraction.

New scarf and golves
Grow your own bonsai tree
Storm glass.
