Game idea for a 9 year old!

Last few years Exploding Kittens, You've got crabs and Dobble were huge hits. Likes strategy games etc and I haven't a clue! Any suggestions will be gratefully received!

One of the Fluxx games - Pirate Fluxx is good.

DS2 (just 10) likes Hive, Jaipur, and backgammon.

Forbidden island is a good co-op game. They also do a desert version
