My older ones don't live at home but will be here for Christmas.
Ds has a couple of shirts, aftershave (Hugo Boss) football ticket, ps4 game and a stocking stuffed with practical stuff, fun stuff and then some luxury stuff.
Dd has an Elemis set, Pandora charm, Laura Ashley pear and Dunelm cushions that she wanted for her new house, couple of pairs of nice pyjamas because she stretched lots of hers when she was expecting dgs and then a nice stocking.

MsAwesomeDragon · 08/12/2019 19:10

Dd1 is 20. She set up a wish list on Amazon and I bought it all, lol. I know she's into dungeons and dragons, so might have bought her some stuff to do with that, but would have worried I'd be duplicating stuff she's already got if I didn't have the list. She also requested a rug, which again, I might have bought a rug but it wouldn't have been the one she wanted without the list. The only surprises she'll get will be in her stocking which will be entirely consumable, so hardly exciting. Things like her favourite shampoo, shower gel, chocolate orange, hair stuff, etc.

bluebeck · 08/12/2019 19:55

One of mine is London based so I got him and his GF a three course dinner and champagne at The Ritz as part of their present.

Home based one getting luxury dressing gown and expensive make up. They will both get cash too plus a few extra pressies.

lisag1969 · 08/12/2019 19:58

Clothes requested and money. X

MrsK · 08/12/2019 20:54

Could you link to the weighted blanket please? I’ve been wondering about getting one for my daughter

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 08/12/2019 20:58

I'm also interested in weighted blanket for insomniac DS

Daisydoola · 08/12/2019 21:38

I highly recommend Mela comfort for the weighted blanket, I've had mine 6 months now and I love it. It's quite heavy so not suitable for children but the cover is so amazingly soft.

I got mine off amazon but not sure they are still on there as couldn't find them recently. Might have to google them.

Daisydoola · 08/12/2019 21:39

Just realised that sounds like an advert, I'm a teacher, nothing to do with selling blankets!

pjmask · 08/12/2019 21:39

Op I got mine dd and her bf an overnight stay at a theme park hotel as they love big rides!

I'm just out of 20s, my sister is just under...

I've bought her a printer for her iPhone, plugs into the charger and prints the photos as Polaroid style, and a gel nail kit with the UV lamp etc. Plus notepads, books for uni, gin flavourings, chocolate etc. Her boyfriend has a designer T-shirt that he specifically chose - I wouldn't have risked that one.

Went Christmas shopping with mum yesterday and we saw a handbag I liked in TK Maxx. She bought me that. I have a pair of wedge trainers on my 'Santa' list (they ask for mine and DHs, it goes to nan too!) and some new Clarks sheepskin slippers, the dogs have ravaged one of mine 🙄

CrowleysBentley · 09/12/2019 10:06

DS(21 a few days after Christmas) I have got a nice hoodie, t-shirt and jeans, a fleece duvet set, a headset/headphone holder for his PC headset in the shape of a hand doing metal horns 🤘 in gold colour, a deadpool cable guy console controller 🎮 holder, a bottle of aftershave, a couple of sci-fi books, a bottle of Bulleit Rye whiskey and little stocking fillers. Plus PJs and mug for Christmas eve.

DD (19) has a couple of jumper dresses and fleece leggings, body shop stuff, her favourite large yankee candle, fleece duvet set, DM boots, a purse, hotel chocolat cream liqueur, some graphic novels, stocking filler stuff and PJs and mug for Christmas eve.

CrowleysBentley · 09/12/2019 10:12

Sainsburys do duck jerky, for those buying jerky. DS is getting a bag in his stocking Xmas Grin

Zaphodsotherhead · 09/12/2019 10:30

DS1 - (cosplayer and Warhammer builder, 30) stuff for making costumes, sets etc, lots of DIY bits.
DD1 - (29) T shirt, blue tooth headset, poster, books, fluffy socks, nice eats
DS2 - (25) luxury food and cooking items (he loves to cook), T shirt, mug, lots of socks,
DD3 (DD2 lives in Oz and is exempt from this) (23) - woven bag, lots of recycleable bits, soap and hair bars, nice chocs, couple of vouchers, earrings.

There's other bits and pieces but I'm trying to go more for useful stuff than just 'filler' crap this year. Consumables are best and things that make less waste.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/12/2019 20:23

Duck jerky, eh? Adds to increasingly enormous Sainsbo's order...

jocktamsonsbairn · 09/12/2019 23:18

My 2 are late teens but likes sound similar!
DS - Armani watch that he chose in duty free,
Armani code aftershave/deodorant that was reduced in Debenhams on one of their fab sales days!
A belt,
Lacoste aftershave from another sale in Superdrug,
Armani boxers (Debenhams sale as he is always moaning that he only gets Primark pants),
CK socks (same reason) from TK Maxx,
pJs and slippers
the entire Percy Pig collection (a bag of each plus Colin the caterpillar)
Candies
Greggs voucher
Stuff for uni
Gaming mouse and mouse mat
Shorts (Hollister sale)
Hairdryer
Sweets, toothbrush etc etc

DD
Laptop
Make up
Toiletriies
Pjs
Clothes
Fairy lights for room
Toothbrush
Sweets
Hat
Face masks
Greggs voucher
Boots vouchers

And the one she has wanted since she was a wee girl- gold, frankincense and myrrh! She was intrigued by the gifts given to baby Jesus as a toddler then has always mentioned them at Christmas. As I was lucky enough to go on a faraway holiday this year I got the frankincense and myrrh there and added gold earrings to them! Not sure what she's going to do with the other 2 right enough!! 😂

SunsetBoulevard3 · 13/12/2019 17:23

I would be interested in what people’s budgets are . I had been desperately trying to cut back this year but going by the lists here my spending is not at all unusual. It just seems obscene to be spending so much.
Weighted blankets and beef jerky really good ideas. Where can I get good beef jerky?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 13/12/2019 18:05

I now spend approx £200 on each of my 3( I start early to spread cost) as 2/3 are at Uni so don't see much of them
When one of the requests is Apple AirPods it's easily done
They'd never expect it though, so I'm happy to spend
