Thinking of getting my DC 19 & 17 dressing gowns

19 yr old is my DD, 17 yr old is DS. Would your kids wear them? I'm questioning whether my DS would wear one.

Both my kids wear dressing gowns

I asked my 19 year old this very question! He said no- he would rather have a huge, floppy, teddy fleece hoodie.

ps1991 · 05/12/2019 20:46

Yep. I’m 26 and definitely wore one at that age. I’m not usually a fan of primark, but their dressing gowns are lovely and wash well too

starrynight19 · 05/12/2019 20:47

My ds 17 wears his occasionally unlike my dd15 who is never out of hers think it’s a personal thing. Am sure they won’t go unworn though

Bouledeneige · 05/12/2019 20:53

I think my DD because she's quite a cosy girl but I think my DS would just want a large fleece. Not sure though. Or onesies maybe? Or are they not cool now?

My 14 year old loves hers but I'm getti g her a oodie for Christmas (super duper sized fuzzy hoodie). My 16 year old son just wears a hoodie and sweats.

YouFellAsleeep · 05/12/2019 22:06

My 14 (almost 15) year old son loves his dressing gown. He looks forward to getting a new one for Christmas every year.

Cornishmum00 · 05/12/2019 22:10

All our family including 3 teens wear purs daily

Crawley65 · 05/12/2019 22:12

My ds never wears one and goes around topless - did do even when little.

woodymiller · 05/12/2019 22:14

Just make sure that you're not going to turn DS into a dressing gown of doom wearer when he is poorly

AuntieStella · 05/12/2019 22:17

My teens love theirs.

Only really fluffy ones will do, though the Jedi robe one is deemed acceptable.

WWlOOlWW · 05/12/2019 22:20

My 17 yr old lives in his in the house. I've bought him a new one for Christmas.

VioletCharlotte · 05/12/2019 22:32

My DS are 20 and 18 both love a fluffy dressing gown!

GoGoLego · 05/12/2019 22:39

I'm late 20s and wear one daily. I defo wore one when I was a teenager. Practically lived init when I was at uni. (Godsend for the 1am fire drill when living in halls)

BigFatBloomers · 06/12/2019 12:43

Can't get my DS17 out of his. My friend's son was just the same at his age. .

Drum2018 · 06/12/2019 13:55

Ds, now 18, asked for a dressing gown last Christmas and he wears it regularly. Dd has one that used to be mine but doesn't wear it as much but she's usually warm.
