Which watches do ‘cool’ 14 YO boys wear?

Looking to buy a watch for DS aged 14, as we have vowed no plastic crap this year. Boys wore G Shock the last one I bought a watch, but not sure they’re cool anymore? He’s into basketball and skateboarding, if that helps.

Afaik it is not cool to wear a watch. Unless it's an Apple Watch but even then your teenage boy generally doesn't...

My son started wearing a watch in Sixth Form as the rules around phone use were stricter. He had one that looks good with a suit (school required this for boys) and one that looked good with his out of school clothes.

Superdry? But as PP said they don't really wear them. DS has one he doesn't wear! Or maybe a Fitbit? Someone in his class gets away with wearing the smart watch that is round. Might be a Samsung. But they aren't allowed them

G shock did a recent collaboration with the band Gorillaz - they were pretty cool.

Most seen to use their phones, SMART watches are popular but they are banned at my DCs school so most don't have them as the school enforce it.

Mine wanted me to get him an old iPod nano touch (?) with a wrist strap so it would look like an Apple watch without the price tag.
