My birthday and Christmas fall within days of each other. Usually I can think of something I want. This year... Not a thing! I've the lovely predicament of having a great family who are messaging daily to see what I want.

I love jewellery, have plenty of it.
I don't wear much makeup but am open to suggestion.
I've loads of perfume, love it don't need any til next year.
Other than a Christmas tin of celebrations I'm not a massive chocolate fan.

What do you want?
Someone mentioned a chillys bottle on a post. I think I'll ask for one. That's it!! Hit me with some wish lists please. All suggestions gratefully received.

Donations to a charity in your name?

ThreeLittleDuckies · 05/12/2019 02:41

I'd like some fancy soap, a new hot water bottle cover and a new purse.
If there's nothing you need or want, I'd opt for charity donations.

Our car is poorly so I would be happy for it to be fixed 😂

wasthatamistake · 05/12/2019 03:42

A nice bottle of wine
A gift card for a nice restaurant, I love eating out
Diptyque candle

BusterGonad · 05/12/2019 04:32

How about gift vouchers for your favourite shop? A lovely new scarf? A really beautiful eyeshadow palette which you wouldn't treat yourself to.

Tiredmummyof3 · 05/12/2019 10:47

Restaurant vouchers without a doubt I would ask for! Always a treat especially for those months when things are abit tight and you can still.manage to get out and have a treat!

DuchessAnnogovia · 05/12/2019 10:49

Book tokens or amazon vouchers are always on my wish. One can never have too many books!

CurbsideProphet · 06/12/2019 08:06

On my list:
A new purse (not one of those massive ones in high street shops).

Some kind of microwaveable hot water bottle with a lovely soft cover.

Toiletries from one of the organic companies I buy from (everything else flares up my eczema).

Vouchers for the little salon I go to regularly for a massage.

Chocolates from Booths.

Someone to pay for my car to be cleaned inside. Valeted? I wouldn’t spend my own money on it but the car is a biohazard.

Vouchers for a massage/hairdressers so I can get a 12 week blow dry.

Someone to pay for Netflix. I haven’t got it and Would love it.

neverbreaks · 06/12/2019 18:25

I’d happily let someone pay for the house to be deep cleaned. Not a glamorous present, but something that is needed (my house isn’t grotty 🙈), and would make me happy!

Equimum · 06/12/2019 18:57

I don’t really get presents, but if I did, I would ask for:

  • Scandi felt slippers
  • turtle doves wrist warmers
  • sewing machine class
  • nice PJs
mrsbyers · 06/12/2019 19:04

My list includes a weighted blanket , full body pillow , a meat slicer , Herschel backpack and matching lunch bag and Percy pigs

Geepee71 · 06/12/2019 22:38

Hotel choc velvetiser
Hanging pod (swing/seat) from Homebase
Weighted blanket as mentioned above
Molton Brown

Whatdoiwant · 07/12/2019 22:05

Thank you all. Some excellent suggestions. I'm dying to know what's so good about a weighted blanket??? I've never heard of them.
I've had some great ideas. My car is going to be valeted and I've picked out a cashmere jumper. @Equimum hope you get something lovely.

I'm making peace this year with the idea that presents don't have to be things I actually need.
I love a couple of the White Company candles. Other brands are almost as good but not quite as good so I have put White Company candles on my list although they seem quite decadent.
I enjoy beauty treatments even though I have quite good skin so don't need facials and am of the opinion that no one needs a manicure or pedicure. As I enjoy having them, beauty vouchers are on my list.
I'd also like a cashmere scarf. Again, I don't need it but it would be heavenly.

Whatdoiwant · 08/12/2019 00:10

@cobwebsoncornices I got a cashmere scarf last year. I forgot how absolutely beautiful it feels until I took it out again this week.

PJs, cookery books, nice coffee, house plant.

Fcukthisshit · 08/12/2019 18:23

Aldi are selling a heated throw. I’d really really love one. I’m going to treat myself to one if I get any Christmas money. Other than that, I like reed diffusers (rituals ones are a particular favourite). I always like pj’s / fluffy socks / slippers and marshmallows Grin

mrsbyers · 08/12/2019 19:53

Weighted blankets are known to help people get better quality sleep especially if they have joint pains as the light pressure disperses the aches and pains

TFSRM · 08/12/2019 20:09

A yuyu hot water bottle

Whatdoiwant · 08/12/2019 21:53

Updated my hot water bottle myself, but I feel I need a weighted blanket now... Didn't know they existed until this thread 😂
