Any and all ideas gratefully received!

He's not sporty, he's not into gaming/PlayStation/Xbox, he just got a new phone last month so I'm looking for stocking fillers ideas as he knows he's not getting a big present.

Mine just wants money, socks and pants. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also got him a Sonicare electric toothbrush (that his dentist wanted him to have lol) in the Philips 50% sale, and some really cosy PJ/loungewear.

He'd probably like a subscription to one of those razor services, like Harry's or the Dollar Shave Club.

AnuvvaMuvva · 02/12/2019 16:55

Oh, mind also wants AirPods. But not if that means he doesn't get any cash. 😆

00100001 · 02/12/2019 16:58

What does he do in his free time?

JumpiestBat · 02/12/2019 17:03

If he hasn't got one already an Amazon echo dot is a nice addition to a bedroom. You get Amazon music free for three months too. They're 22 quid on the Amazon site at the mo although delivery delayed til just before Xmas by the look of it.

Subscription to a magazine... Graphic novel (Waterstones have some cool ones) if you go in and browse.

Northernsoullover · 02/12/2019 17:05

Nothing. He's so hard to buy for. It will have to be cash. I might get him something from Vans so he has something to open.

TuttiCutie · 02/12/2019 19:20

Looks like it'll be money, socks and pants here too Grin He's got tickets for Slipknot in January but he knows about those.

He's big into music (composing and playing) and has everything related to that he will ever need. He has a Sonos speaker in his bedroom so no need for an Echo dot. He's got AirPods (not actual AirPods but an equivalent).

He's done a variety of 'experience days' over the years so I don't want to get another of those.

A magazine subscription is a good idea.

I feel like a girl would be much easier to buy for!

My 16yo nephew is getting Nando’s vouchers from me!

Legoandloldolls · 02/12/2019 21:05

Mine has got a new phone. But apart from that lots of Holister lounge wear. That seems like his go to comfy wardrobe choice. Or a new rucksack. He normally likes the ugg type slippers too. I suspect mines into his comfort items

MairzyDoats · 02/12/2019 21:07

Vouchers for driving lessons! He's 17 in 3 months. And trainers.

MoiraRose · 04/12/2019 23:11

What kind of rucksacks are people getting teenage boys? Is Adidas ok? I'm looking for ideas for the Christmas tree gift appeal

thekaiserswife · 05/12/2019 06:45

An extra long charging cable for his phone, decent portable charger.

ArabellaPilkington · 05/12/2019 06:54

Mine wants his main present to be clothes/trainers

Stocking is mainly chocolate, gloves, pants, socks, stationery/pens

May get him a Nando's voucher

Last year he got a mini fridge for his room he likes to keep drinks in in the summer?

Copperblack · 05/12/2019 11:18

Dickies is a very popular brand here and the stuff is quite cheap - bags are £10 from amazon.

ExpletiveFairylighted · 05/12/2019 11:26

Mine's getting pyjamas, a book (Peter Crouch), a curry making kit, a few other edible bits. He's not much into gaming and not interested in Lynx etc.

I disagree about girls being easier, I'm struggling with teenage DD too, more so if anything.

MairzyDoats · 05/12/2019 22:06

@Copperblack where are you? I buy Dickies for the guys at work, it's good quality stuff for the price

dementedma · 05/12/2019 22:23

Mine is 17 but very into music - he plays bass guitar - so his gifts are mostly guitar related e.g a t-shirt which says “ Lord of the Strings”, a gadget for re-stringing/tuning, a funky print of a bass guitar....etc etc.
To balance it out a bit he is also getting a huge bar of chocolate, some David Beckham aftershave and an Everton shirt.

moolady1977 · 05/12/2019 22:29

I've got my nearly 16yr old a new bike helmet and gloves that he asked for to go with his stunt bike that he asked his dad for plus the usual smellies and chocolate didn't bother with jamas this year has he won't wear them

Redcrayons · 05/12/2019 22:41

Shamelessly placemarking for ideas. Got the main present but struggling for stocking fillers. DS is soo hard to buy for, for his birthday he just wanted revision text books a school pen.
For balance, In case anyone thinks I’m stealth boasting, his brother has a Xmas lift as long as your arm and has asked if he can also have his brothers share of the Christmas present budget.

cricketmum84 · 05/12/2019 22:44

@dementedma where are the T-shirt and print from? I have a 15yo bassist who would love these!

pollyhampton · 05/12/2019 22:49

My ds16 is having earphones (not airpods but equivalent), cards against humanity and money. Stocking is mainly sweets, other presents include t.shirt, posh deodorant set, american sweets and socks.

dementedma · 07/12/2019 08:02

@cricketmum, it was via a company whose ad kept popping up on my FB feed. Now i am looking for it to find the name it has disappeared. Something like love guitars? Sorry, i really cant remember the name properly
