Vegan gifts for cousin

Hi.
I'd be grateful of ideas for a gift for my cousin & husband. They are 50 somethings, both long term vegetarian but now moving into veganism. We only usually see each other at family events so haven't exchanged gifts since our teens but she has invited me over for a curry evening. I'd very much like to get them something for Christmas / to say thank you. £20 ish the budget.... Any ideas welcome, thank you

What about a metal lunchbox (eco friendly, no leaching plastics) or a Chillys metal water bottle?

Or nice implements for fruit, like a metal hinged lemon squeezer, a mango slicer, or similar (try Lakeland)

House plant in a nice pot?
Vegan wine?
Or maybe some locally produced vegan chocs or mince pies if you have such a thing anywhere near you

If they are not too far from London Vegan Life have a two day event on in March and currently have 2 for 1 tickets (£12 total) until tonight

Booja booja truffles are vegan and look nice.

Fruit hamper.
Vegan cookbook - may welcome some ideas if new to vega sim.
My DD got a purse last year which was made from recycled fire hoses, but I can't remember the name of the company.

Interesting herbs and spices, perhaps?

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 01/12/2019 16:46

High quality dark chocolate is usually vegan.

Do you have a local low waste shop? They’re usually good for that kind of thing.

I am vegan and can say they taste really good.

Themazeoflife · 01/12/2019 17:26

Dr Botanicals with the code VEGANFRIDAY80 you’ll get lovely gifts as it’s 80% discount.

SheShriekedShrilly · 01/12/2019 17:31

You can buy posh boxes of vegan truffles online (Booja Booja are lovely, but there are others) which you can’t get on the High Street and which would be a real treat. The veganstore website has a good selection. There’s also now a vegan version of Baileys, which would be nice and Christmassy if they like that sort of thing.

@Leeds2 it is Elivis and Kresse that do the fire hose recycling into wallets and bags!

Last year I asked a similar question about a present for a vegan and this site was suggested. The 100% cotton scarf I bought was beautiful and with postage only just over £20. My Vegan DIL loved it.

Time4change2018 · 02/12/2019 16:27

Thanks so much for all the ideas. I'm intrigued at the idea of vegan chocolates. I might get some in the hope of being offered one lol. Looking online some look really yummy.

A lot of posh dark chocolate is vegan.

I’d buy a Vegan Richa Indian cookbook and some posh spices.
