Liberty print suitcase - does such a thing exist without buying the hamper set?

I recently came across this Liberty hamper and I've fallen in love with the suitcase from the set - does anyone know if such a thing exists outside of the hamper set?

I can't find anything on Google but not sure if I'm looking in the right place!

And if it doesn't exist, is there any likelihood that the hamper will be in a Boxing Day sale (do Liberty do BD sales?)?

It’s not really a suitcase as such though? Just a cardboard container for the contents.

Trumpton · 30/11/2019 16:21

But oh that is truly lovely . Maybe keep your eye on eBay after Christmas to see if a philistine is selling on .
But oooh I would buy it now and take joy in it for years ( enabler )

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 16:28

@Ginisatonic I know - a beautiful cardboard container though!!

@Trumpton eBay is a good shout - definitely one to bring out every year though isn't it? And I suppose it is 20% off which is much better than full price!

Do it !
Light the lovely candle , unwrap that special soap, wear your best clothes .
Fill your life with lovely things !

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 16:37

@Trumpton what lovely words to live by - and so true as otherwise they'll just end up sitting on a shelf won't they!

Yes I am currently having chemo and it sharpens the mind as to what matters . Give up a mediocre takeaway coffee for a while to pay yourself back if you need to justify it !

fascinated · 30/11/2019 16:42

Is it cardboard? Argh! I was tempted, but if cardboard then noooooo

fascinated · 30/11/2019 16:43

Sorry - just seen the recent messages. If you love it....? Why not? Cut back elsewhere as pp says

BlueCornsihPixie · 30/11/2019 16:53

It's already on sale at the moment OP so I doubt it'll get significantly less in the boring day sales. I think if you love it just get it....

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 16:54

@Trumpton sorry to hear that - I hope your treatment is going as well as it can. Wise words and a good idea - you are definitely an enabler Grin !

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 16:56

@fascinated and @BlueCornsihPixie both enablers too haha! Good point that it probably wouldn't be reduced further - and I suspect that they'd probably keep the suitcase for future hampers rather than sell on not trying to justify this at all

Buy a cheap cardboard suitcase (The Works do a Peter Rabbit one for 7 quid).

See if they sell the paper seperately - have had a very quick look and it comes up as fabric but I am off out now....

DreamingofSunshine · 30/11/2019 18:59

@Someaddedsugar I'm in love with this now. My animal obsessed DS would love it and I'd love the contents.

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 19:10

@marymungoandminge they’re lovely but not as lovely - and as much as I know it’s just a cardboard suitcase it’s definitely a thing of beauty!

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 19:13

@DreamingofSunshine it’s amazing isn’t it! I originally saw it on an Instagram re-post from Polar Post (an incredible Christmas small business) and wondered where it was from. The person behind the original post on Instagram had removed the contents, left the shredded paper and filled it with a letter from Santa and other amazing goodies as part of a Christmas Eve shoot and it just looked so magical. The contents sound stunning too - love the sound of the marzipan sprouts!

I have this fabric, it's gorgeous!

Just looked up Polar post as never heard of them, so lovely.

lotusbell · 30/11/2019 20:56

Oh that is bloody gorgeous!

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 21:13

Based on that price @Hoolajerry it doesn’t look like they’ve over-inflated the hamper price too much (with the BF discount that is) as I’m sure the cake and chutneys would be around £20 seeing as they’re Liberty branded... I think it’s going to be a treat day for me tomorrow!

OP posts:
Hoolajerry · 30/11/2019 21:31

Someaddedsugar I think that one might be a bit more sturdy as its wrapped in fabric.
I'm with Trumpton though on the fill your life with lovely things front!

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 21:37

I do like the floral print but the animals have my heart!

@lotusbell isn’t it!

anymore little shop recommendations @Someaddedsugar

Someaddedsugar · 30/11/2019 22:23

@ploopsie current favourites are Velveteen Babies, Bow Beaus, Myla & Oscar, Small Print Books and Scamp & Dude.

As much as I love a bargain, I really like buying something a bit special from independent shops where I can.
