make up & lessons for 13yr old girl...

whats a good make up counter to book her a lesson at?
I am clueless about it all.
what's a 'cool' & not horrendously expensive brand for a starter kit? i used to have an m&s palette but know thats not cool.
don't have any mums of friends I could ask unfortunately .

Our local Primark now has an MUA at the makeup counter. Their cosmetics are pretty cheap compared to some of the Debenhams ones. I'd say start there and work up to the more expensive stuff once she learns what she likes

My 15 yo dd is keen on skincare it's a big thing with teen girls I think, she likes the Korean stuff and she is keen on the Glossier brand which also does some makeup.

I understand, but haven't used so only a suggestion to look in to, that MAC off lessons and you get to take products home for the value of the lesson.

Superdrug own brand is cruelty free and they do a couple of other lines : MUA and Barry M, also cruelty free. I remember The Body Shop is owned by L'Oréal which is the largest animal tester. I go by The Compassionate Shopping Guide, by Nature watch.

Eyeliner pens are easier than liquid and a brush. Revolution Makeup have a massive selection of cosmetic products in a good variety of shades. Their brushes are good too. However don't buy revolution eyeliner pens though, if you have an afrocarribean hair and make up shop they have a brand called beauty forever and they are better than any eyeliner I have ever tried including expensive ones. It's accurate and long lasting.
