Quirky small stocking fillers

TheBrockmans · 28/11/2019 23:56

My dc - early teens were saying how they love the funny small things in stockings and it is the best bit of Christmas like post-it notes, gems, whimseys, random stuff. I have already got some stuff like little men marshmallow extending toaster forks, magic fire dust, plus some post-it notes, which is strange as they never use them. Looking for other similar ideas. We do the usual blue tac, socks etc. Really just looking for the odd quirky stuff that lurks at the bottom of the price range on ebay/Amazon etc. Both boys and girls but stockings are generally fairly gender neutral in our house --after the disaster when FC accidentally bought a 'fun car' for ds and 'boring doll' for dd. Only one younger sibling still (appears to) believes.

I've got these for my tweens Charge Cable Protector

GAW19 · 29/11/2019 00:48

Pound land seem to have a lot of little things like this atm!
Rubber duck bath bombs, little cactus photo holder, I've seen a lot in there and it doesn't look like just cheap crap!

Those cable charge protectors look great, exactly the sort of thing I am looking for and will check out poundland.

Hot chocolate ‘spoons’
Crazy foam soap
Bug lollipop
Magnetic sculpture
Corkers wine cork pins
Astronaut ice cream
Balloon animal kit
LED shoelaces
Mug cake kit
Toast stamp
Maze pen

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/11/2019 20:30

Yes to astronaut food

Beef jerky

Various noodles/Japanese sweets etc tend to go down well here

If they wear converse or DMs, funky shoelaces for them

Can you still get stretchy men and fortune telling fish?

Father Christmas traditionally adds interesting buttons to the stocking he delivers here. Also a novelty spoon and coaster each year.

chicchicken · 29/11/2019 21:00

Washi tape

Novelty pen like a flamingo, unicorn, rocket, Pom Pom type thing. I've bought some great ones from
John Lewis with affirmations on on for teens.

Makeup palette

Rubix Cube

Palm reading book and tea leaf reading - think can get in the works.

Buzz wire game - you know you you try not to touch the wire and move the wand along

Shampoo soap bar

Journal

Thank you, I think I have food covered and they don't use make up, fragrances etc. due to allergies. They like useful (ish) things which are cute.

Flying tiger has lots of the sort of stuff I think your looking for, but isn't online. Hema also good, and can shop online.

Sass and Belle make some quirky, foldable, reusable shopping bags. I've picked up a few to use instead of traditional gift bags this year, but I reckon they'd also make cute stocking fillers: www.sassandbelle.co.uk/all-sale/foldable-bags-special-offer/

I've always put blu tack in my DS's stockings Nowadays it's useful for cleaning Air vents in cars and between keyboards on gaming pcs apparently!

mumonthehill · 01/12/2019 16:54

I have got a few bits from present indicative this year, very quirky and fun!

DioneTheDiabolist · 01/12/2019 16:57

We each get a little wind up toy from Hawkins Bazaar. And then race them.
