If you were three jars of salted caramel spread...

...bought as stocking fillers for my dses, where would you be hiding in my house?

I have looked in the conservatory (I usually stash presents in there, hidden behind the furniture), and in the cupboard in the hall - these are the main places I stash stocking fillers, and I've checked the hidden corners in the office, dining room and front room - I have found all the other stocking presents - but the salted caramel spread is missing.

I was so pleased with myself, because I thought I'd wrapped all the stocking presents this morning - but now I realise I haven't. Gah.

I am hoping dh has put them away 'safely' somewhere

Boot of the car?

In our house, this would have translated to him having eaten them.

I would RE CHECK the usual places and see if they have fallen in/behind anything.

Then I'd check the airing cupboard and on top of the kitchen cupboards 👍

@Dinosauratemydaffodils - I think I'd have noticed dh eating them - but he may be sneakier than I realise!

I have re-checked the conservatory - found lots of bags of yarn that really need sorting out and using up, but no salted caramel - and the cupboard under the stairs - no joy there either.

Still - as one of my FB friends has said, if they don't turn up until February, that is a win for me - all I need is some alone time and a spoon! Grin

Would he have put them wherever you would usually put salted caramel spread? Larder, kitchen cupboards?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 27/11/2019 13:46

That's a thought - I will look - thanks!

In a carrier bag in the boot of the car

Sweetooth92 · 27/11/2019 13:49

Already eaten.
My brother growing up was a sod for this.
Tubs of celebrations etc he would eat and then tape back up to look sealed full of wrappers, jars would be emptied and re stashed.
He’s 26 now, still at my parents and they have a tray of chocolate oranges that are half empty boxes 🙄

I checked the kitchen cupboards - no luck - but I did find a bag of kettle chips I’d forgotten about - result!

Drawers in your bedroom or under bed storage? Behind or under a chair in your bedroom?

longwayoff · 27/11/2019 14:48

It was me. Don't buy any more, I can't control myself when there's salted caramel around. Get them some marmite. Blecch.

Drabarni · 27/11/2019 14:58

under the kids bed, usually.

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 27/11/2019 15:00

Up high somewhere? Top of a wardrobe or cupboard?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 27/11/2019 15:05

Knicker drawer? I quite often hide things there...

Iwantacookie · 27/11/2019 15:07

No idea but you have just reminded me I need to take ds2 xmas present out the car before I pick him up so thank you op

LadyGuffers · 27/11/2019 15:10

Knicker drawer?

I am chuckling at the thought of someone looking in the OP's knicker drawer to find 3 jars of salted caramel sauce... scandalous! Grin
