Where to find nice little gifts to put in fill your own crackers

I’ve ordered some fill your own crackers and am now panicking what to put in them! Although they are pre-filled with a hat and joke, I need to add little gift for each member of family. Needs to include DH, DM (70), teenage DCs. Any ideas much appreciated.

In the past I have done a nice lip balm, small hamdcream, alcohol miniatures, tiny Lego set, inexpensive costume jewellery

Petalbird · 27/11/2019 13:26

What size crackers have you ordered? Chocolate is always a good one but the jumbo ones are big enough for small gifts like Lego mini Christmas bags and cuddly key rings, jewelry

CaptainGT · 27/11/2019 13:27

Summer1986 - OMG amazing suggestions I love it.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 27/11/2019 13:28

I put booze miniatures in ours.

ineedto · 27/11/2019 13:29

Miniatures, small chocolate bar, lipstick, nail polish, earrings, ring, lip balm, key ring, bracelet.

WellTidy · 27/11/2019 13:30

I’ve done full your own crackers for years and am struggling this year for ideas.

Previous years I’ve done!
30 ml bottles of Milton brown shower gels (you can buy 6 or 12 as a gift pack with a decent discount and then split them)
Tester size perfumes and aftershaves
Rspb pins or other badges
Spirits or liqueur miniatures
Scratch cards
Celebrations
Key rings - Lego do some cool ones like Indiana Jones, Star Wars figures
Lego mini figures

WellTidy · 27/11/2019 13:32

Body shop hand creams are 30ml and down to £3.65 each this week, they’re great. The argan oil one is my favourite

If you want posh for the teenagers, benefit minis make up or skincare would be lovely. I think they do 3 things for £25 in boots. The dandelion mini blusher, or the mascaras, or the pore fessional make up primer.

Scratch card
Personalised mini figures of each guest
travel perfume decanter

WellTidy · 27/11/2019 15:50

I’ve now bought one of those personalised Lego mini figures for DH a’ stocking. Brilliant, thank you

Disfordarkchocolate · 27/11/2019 15:53

Chocolates, ones that look like little Christmas logs or puddings or after-dinner mints.

geogteach · 27/11/2019 15:59

I usually buy a packet of Green and Blacks miniatures and use them. Try and avoid putting plastic stuff in them as that just replaces plastic you would get in a normal cracker with more plastic

Stompythedinosaur · 27/11/2019 21:06

In the past I've used nanoblocks, small handcream, a fire striker, a keyring (with a family photo), booze miniatures and a scratch card. My best ever was a real viking arrowhead for dp for is keen on history.

Stompythedinosaur · 27/11/2019 21:07

To add, this year I have bought a load of tiny magic tricks from aliexpress so will put those in.

Chilledout11 · 27/11/2019 21:13

Perfume (mini or an atomiser)
Earrings
Swiss army knife
Keyring
Travel size products
Lotto tickets

TheAnnoyingSatsuma · 27/11/2019 22:00

Was in Boots today. Pack of 3 Cath Kidston mini handcreams was £7 but 25% off for Black Friday. Or, even better was a free gift with 2 No7 purchases - nail polish, mini mascara, eye pencil and day cream, all cracker sized and FREE!
Now need to find some fillers for the chaps.

Jfw82 · 27/11/2019 22:08

My mum does scratch cards plus a chocolate (max prize £5k in 10 years don't think anyone's won more than £10!)

I've done diff things for diff people this year including

Lip salves

Mini screwdrivers
Fidget toys

TheBrockmans · 27/11/2019 23:22

I am putting in folding spoons and mini nutella jars.

mummymayhem18 · 28/11/2019 07:15

I've bought some as well from John Lewis and have bought 2 scratchcards to go in each and will either buy chocolates or miniature alcohol bottle to go in them. ☺️🎄

TheAnnoyingSatsuma · 28/11/2019 08:00

I also put in a wind up toy - re-use racing reindeer from previous years and bugs/insects from Hawkins bazaar. And conduct races along the table.

I bought perfume parlour roll ons for all the adults, they fit perfectly. Not quite decided for the kids yet!
