Present advice for lovely brother and his wife?!?

My brother and his wife have insisted on having everyone for Christmas this year, and have rejected any offer of a contribution to food/drink.

They have done this as they are aware we are having a bit of a shit year and wanted to make Christmas less stressful for us.

It is so lovely and thoughtful of them that I want to get them something extra special as a present, but I’m drawing a blank! They are both 40 and are very unmaterialistic and a little bit hard up for money but would never moan.

I just want to give them something that would show them how much I appreciate them without making them feel uncomfortable. It’s so hard Confused

What about a restaurant voucher for them to use after Xmas and a bottle of naice wine and chocs with strict instructions to only open and enjoy when all the guests leave?

Or if that's not their thing a local membership or cinema tickets/ hamper if that's more in budget

(I've just had one done for my DB and his DP, I I'm very pleased with it.

I would definitely go for restaurant vouchers, we love recieving these as we can't always afford to go out and eat so its a real treat. I would suggest getting them in small denominations too as we often will use vouchers to put towards a meal, cuts the cost down and means you can spread them out and go out a few times! My favourite gift!
