Weird World of Mumsnet

Having recently joined mumsnet I was wondering about what people spend at Christmas, In real life I dont know anyone who spends £30, conversely I don't know anyone who would spend thousands, unless it was for a very special reason. From everything I've read here it seems like an alternative world where everyone is super rich, vegan and very left wing. Am I wrong? Pretty sure I don't know any of you in real life!

Newsflash...not everyone is the same. It's an
Internet forum with millions of subscribers, so there will be all sorts!

Yeah obviously but the extremes do seem extreme. No one seems kinda middle of the road

Give over, you can't have read very much.

You don't notice the middle of the road, because they are middle of the road, whereas the extremes are extreme and so more noticeable.

You forgot the chicken which will feed a family of 4 for a week with leftovers.

You are describing Brighton mumsnet.

Camomila · 25/11/2019 22:40

As a Brighton mumsnetter I'm not even offended as I fit the stereotype completely, at least with Christmas presents Grin
DSs main Christmas present is both 2nd hand and wooden (A big Thomas train shed for his wooden train track)
