Just popping in to say my local Waitrose has loads of these if anyone is desperate for one (sold out online). Happy to pop in and get one for anyone who needs one? I think DS2 would buy the entire shop worth if I let him but that's another story!!

It’s such a shame people can’t get these but it’s hardly surprising when one seller alone on ebay has 39 listings for them.

Hope you all manage to get them Flowers

(I will just say, yes, I know people can buy and sell at a profit but I think having 39 live listings on ebay for these when others are struggling to get them at JL prices is a bit much)

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 25/11/2019 20:19

It's disgusting @Maxineputyourredshoeson
I feel exactly the same about ticket touts. I'm just sorry I couldn't help out. There honestly were loads when I was there at the weekend.

If you have the John Lewis app you can check Edgar stock levels in stores. If a store has more than 4 in stock (I think) you can click to request to reserve one. Someone from the store should call back if they have one and they can post to you for an additional cost. I did this for an Edgar book.

Nonotmenori · 25/11/2019 21:33

I got one last week in Waitrose in Westfield Stratford. There were loads. I'll check again when I'm there next.

Floralnomad · 25/11/2019 22:36

Apparently there is 10 in stock at Oxford street so you can reserve one there at the moment and it does say on the app that they can arrange delivery .

Lexplorer · 25/11/2019 23:56

Re JL under ordering, last year they got lumbered with loads of unsold Elton John stuff so it might be because they didn't want a repeat of that. Also there was a cuddly thing from an ad a few years ago that didn't sell as well as expected. Probably can never get it just right!

ineedto · 26/11/2019 13:55

Thank you for trying @MyGhastIsFlabbered.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 26/11/2019 13:59

If anyone's got the app and can see if there are any in Horsham I'm happy to pop in and collect.

Its my daughter's 7th birthday today, and we are desperate to get hold of one. I went to our local store yesterday as they were showing stick and they apparently sold out ages ago 😩😩 If anyone can get hold of one, I'd love you eternally.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 26/11/2019 16:07

Apparently Chichester have 4 in stock. Happy to go there this weekend to collect if anyone wants to phone them to organise payment?

Rmb12 - God, I’m going passed the oxford st one and will hold my nose and see if they have any for your DD. I still have my Paddington bear that my siblings clubbed together and bought me for my 7th.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 26/11/2019 16:27

Sorry...

Wow, I didn't realise they would be so popular. I happened to be passing a store on the morning of launch and just grabbed one as I have a slight dragon theme going on for my baby due next year! Madness. I don't know why they don't prepare better, it's in their interest, they could make mega bucks!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 26/11/2019 18:14

To be honest - I knew it would sell out as soon as I saw the ad. They knew it, of course they did. All about creating a buzz. It’s a shame because it’s little kids that will be disappointed.

Rmb12 · 26/11/2019 19:38

You're the sweetest! I'd love if we could get her one 😩 such a shame they are all being snapped up and sold for over double the price on ebay! Its so rubbish when little ones would be elated with them.

Rmb12 · 26/11/2019 19:39

@LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD thank you for trying, you absolute sweetheart.
