Help please on suggestions. I'm after something reasonable quality for an adult teenager to look at the stars and planets. So no idea on what is a reasonable budget for this. I'm assuming could get something ok for £100 ? Am I deluded??

In that price range I recommend a really good pair of binoculars. I have some from Celestron which are amazing and easier to use than a telescope.

Hmmm I think I'd rather get a telescope. What sort of price would an ok one be ? @FadedRed

My 16 year old is just got into astronomy ( thanks to an old telescope my dad had). He recommended a site called Orion at U.K. telescopes. Com. They have a section for Under £125.

He’s obsessed now and has bought a DSL camera off eBay to link with the telescope and his PC to take photos. Hopefully his GCSE physics will be better than predicted now!
