So my teenage boys want money for Xmas. I don't want to just hand it over tho.

Can anyone help me with clues for ds12 and ds14.

I'm planning to have about 6 or 7 clues.

I bought a Switch as a joint present for my DC - I set up a treasure hunt with clues for them to work through, but the best bit was somehow programming Alexa to reveal the location of the next clue... if you have an Alexa that is. But I’m going to be completely useless because I can’t remember the clues nor how to program Alexa!

If you google “anagram generator” you could create some anagrams of instructions, ie “under a table” becomes “Lunar debate”.

You could print a photograph of an object, and cut it up so that they find pieces of it with each clue and have to jigsaw it together to find a location.

You could do a “pirates treasure” type of instruction along the lines of 3 paces northwest of the yew tree, then 4 feet south and x marks the spot so they have to find a compass and a measuring tape.

You could give them a code to crack. I particularly like moving every consonant forward by one letter of the alphabet (eg a becomes b, b becomes c, etc) but moving every vowel backwards (a becomes z, e becomes d).

You could give a gps location. First hide it in a simple code 1-a, 2-b, 3-c but let them figure out that the number is a gps code.

Amazing. Thank you for those ideas
