Apple Air pods. My 12 yo old loves them. Cool to pose in

Designer underwear, speaker, aftershave

I'm struggling too this year. Main present is a voucher for White Water Rafting. Also got a nice chess set and some other bits that he needs.
I actually bought him a folding ruler the other day and thought I'd put it away for his stocking, because I really can't think of anything to buy for that.

I guess my suggestion is an activity?

FunnysInLaJardin · 18/11/2019 13:42

My nearly 14yo is having an Oculus Quest for his birthday in a couple of weeks. Its a VR headset and his friends can join if they have the same head set.

Its around £300 and so all of his birthday money, however he is very excited and no doubt we will now see even less of him!

God knows what we will give him for Christmas though, probably money.

Thanks everyone, has already got air pods, have bought aftershave and Tomy H undies already, he buys xbox games online.

I'd love to get him an activity we got him a wind tunnel experience last year he loved it!!! Just can not think, really struggling...

Paint balling voucher for him and mates?

Merch from his favourite band - t shirt, framed poster, signed photos/drumsticks etc.
Designer trainers or hoodie if he cares about that sort of thing
A raspberry pi if he is geeky and doesn't yet have one
a new bike or skateboard if he likes that sort of thing
a musical instrument - bass guitar or drum kit
wetsuit/surf board/paddleboard/kayak if that's his thing

Stuff for his room. DS loved a light up globe and a cool new designer chair. (You can get gaming chairs if he likes gaming, apparently.)

Set of weights on a stand, or a punchbag and gloves if he likes boxing training.

I think it depends so much on the person and what they are interested in at that age.

Ah some ideas here ... loves music so a double stand for his 2 guitars light up sloth Ive just found for his room.

T shirt for a band he's going to see next Feb might be an idea

What is a raspberry pi???

My guitar playing teen is getting string cleaner, a swipe (string cleaning gadget) and new guitar strings in her stocking.

Raspberry pi is a small computer. It's great for learning programming and stuff as it's all self contained, no risk you won't be able to use the computer for homework later. It's reasonably easy to use one to build other projects, so good for those who like a bit of inventing.

newdeer · 18/11/2019 22:45

The raspberry pi is a simple computer they build themselves and then can programme it to do stuff. DS has used his in lots of different ways but I don't know exactly how. I'll ask him tomorrow and let you know what it can do if you are interested.
