On my list so far are two large foils disposal trays of dauphinois potatoes, a venison casserole, braised red cabbage, lots of palmiers and sausage rolls. What other savoury things will go in yours? I am a bit stuck for sweet things, of course there will be tons of mince pies? Any ideas? 🎄

all i have are lots of sausage rolls and a chicken curry so far. I'm going to freeze some 'squashed fly' biscuits (wrapped tightly in foil they last 2-3 months in the freezer from being baked) and some mince pies. in a few weeks i will make a cheesecake to freeze as they last a max of 6 weeks in the freezer

Depends how much veg we manage to eat really, as both freezers are rammed with green beans, runner beans and courgettes!

That's my trouble too!! I've also got leeks in the garden, so thought I might make some cheesy leeks to grab when needed. They are always nice either as a side dish, or mixed through pasta with some of the Christmas ham!
Is your cheesecake a baked one or a cream cheese one sleepismysuperpower1?

Just thought of something else; I always make a big stack of American pancakes and freeze them in between baking paper. Great for breakfasts, either with honey and nuts and yoghurt, or crispy fried bacon and maple syrup!

I do mince pies, sausage rolls, brownies, Nigella's muffins, sometimes a cheesecake.

I do most of my baking on Christmas Eve though, so much of it is freshly-baked for the day. I need to sort my list soon!

I dream of having enough freezer space to be able to do this!

I usually make some of nigellas rocky road which freezes really well and can be bought out slice by slice......
You’ve reminded me to make my red cabbage and freeze it to!

I do her rocky road too, but that's one of the things I do fresh on CE. Might freeze some though now you've said it works well!
