DS loves making short movies. He had stickbots last year, which he loved but wondering if there is anything else anyone could recommend?

We got my 10 year old this one and he has had a lot of use out of it - Kit

Not cheap but I got it signifcantly reduced on Black Friday so maybe worth keeping and eye out then

The Lego make your own movie book has gone down well with the children we've bought it for. www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=827794&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2ITuBRDkARIsAMK9Q7Mb2L4zkVUg9RpiUv61O4omCNW3zIHh14wKgn3bN8xb3mEvZBRUKmAaAlwwEALw_wcB

You get a few mini figs and props, and the book itself has card pages which form scenery and there are some storylines and tips to get you started.

Depending on what gadget he uses for animating, a mini tripod can be useful, as is a small desk lamp.

Brick Flicks is another good book, but more in depth about techniques than the make your own movie one.
