Can we have a men’s gifts thread

There are often threads asking for ideas for specific men and I’ve often picked up a good idea from them. I thought it might be useful to have a general one to share ideas of what we’re buying, hits and misses of previous years.
So far...
dh is getting clothes, new belt (sounds dull but he’s very particular and it took me a while to track down the exact one so he’ll appreciate the effort, and his current one is looking worn), a magnetic wristband (so I don’t have to hunt for missing screws) and Bluetooth earphones
Df will be getting sports dvds
Dfil is getting a weatherstick and toffee that you break with a hammer and possibly a wireless bird box or a trip on a steam train/canal boat (still thinking about this)

I’ve had success in previous years with grid it for both men and women, and with thin optics tiny reading glasses. Though it took a bit of convincing to give them a go, both dh and fil love them.

Sugru went down like a lead balloon here though it gets recommended a lot, and I’d quite like some myself.

Snowflake tool and a universal socket tool (loves this kind of stuff and it's cheap and cheerful from ebay). Reggae bbq set with griddle pan, 2x long sleeve compression running tops, retro sweet hamper, Whisky, zombie blood shower gel, firetrap gift set.

Thanks for the wildlife cam rec - we want one for the new house (there's definitely a badger snuffling around, so would be great to get it on camera!).

Other ideas I've got for DH:
The new Andrew Ridgely Wham book (he's a big fan)
The latest Phillip Pullman
Jumper
A gardening tool belt (so he stops leaving secateurs lying around the garden and losing them)
Pants and socks (normal Xmas gift)

Previous years I've bought him sports kit which has been much appreciated.
Log basket (new wood burner)
Coffee travel mug he likes (and frequently loses/breaks)

For DF, maybe the latest Bill Bryson, might get them a wildlife camera too. I usually get something golf themed (a golf lesson with his club's pro, golf balls etc - useful stuff).

For those interested in the wildlife camera, then I'd also recommend a hedgehog feeding station and/or house. The better quality ones (with predator proof entrance) are around £50. Fabulous to help these little creatures though...

Men are so hard to buy for, I struggle every year. So far I've got
Step dad- crossword book, box of crackers, socks.
Dad- autoglym car cleaning kit
Grandad- ski socks, Lindt chocolates
Dp- back to the future musical tickets, yard of Jaffa cakes, hobgoblin beer set,
I still need more yet so I'm searching this thread for ideas.

My DB is mad about Egyptology, I was wondering about getting him a gift-card for entry to the Tutankhamun exhibition in London. That way he could choose when to go (he doesn’t live in London but does travel quite frequently for work). They’re claiming it’s the last time the artefacts will be seen outside Egypt.

I’m a bit about gift-cards usually but this might actually work.

3D printer! Seriously if you have a husband who likes tinkering these are so much fun. We have an ender 3 pro that was £160 and I’m amazed by how much fun I’m having with it. They have come such a long way since they first came out.

I’m really struggling for my Dad this year, I usually get him gig tickets but I can’t find anything local this year and tbh a lot of his favourite artists are past their touring years. I’m considering 12 months of Spotify this year, he listens to music all the time and is quite into my subscription services like prime and Netflix. It just feels a bit flat to not have a “physical” gift to open though.

My brother has sent me a list which might help some people, he wants gym leggings, a new wallet, new bedding and a diary.

I can't remember if it was this thread or another but The Spicery was recommended and I'm really, really pleased with what they sent.

Conversely, I've been disappointed by my Not on the High Street deliveries. The quality has really reduced in recent years and what I bought could be bought on the high street for a third of the cost and without delivery charges (this obviously want apparent from photos online).

I have a Chillys bottle that keeps water cold. I might sound a bit silly here, but is there a version that keeps drinks hot? Or is a flask the only option? DH had one of those reusable coffee cups, but I'm loathe to buy one again as it sit in the dishwasher (even though it was dishwasher safe).

This is a very helpful thread. my DP is easy to please (I know what he likes ;) !!) ... but it is nice to buy something for Christmas too. Some great ideas here, so thank you.

DP likes music, but mostly listen to streaming services. Buying some vinyl works, because there are so many reissues these days, and some of these have extra recordings, books, etc.

I’ve also bought 4 concert tickets...so he can invite some friends
