Just that really! Looking for ideas, big or small. No hobbies really, or particular interests, so interested in what other parents are buying and/or what their daughters have asked for.

DD2 is nearly 21 and the ideas she has given me include:

Earrings
Makeup
A fluffy dressing gown
A fire TV stick
A kindle

Mine's a bit older and so far is getting:
candles
a throw - if I can find a nice one in the right sort of colour
sterling silver hoop earrings
Benefit Rollerlash
some Origins skincare
hot chilli sauces
nice tea and coffee
some books and records (has specified names for these and I'll choose a few from her list)
Last year I bought her a Longchamp travel bag, which went down a storm; not sure what 'surprise' I'll get for her this year, but am thinking maybe a cashmere scarf and/or some nice baking stuff

Girls are in mid 20s. So far Dd2 has a gift set of Isle of Harris Gin and glasses, and a massage voucher. Dd1 has a weighted sleep blanket to help with insomnia/ anxiety, and her favourite scented candle which is a tradition. They will both get books, earrings, maybe perfume..

MsChatterbox · 31/10/2019 19:27

I'm 26 myself and I know at 21 I would really have appreciated some fancy bedding with decorative pillows etc! Or how about a TV for her room? Assuming she is still at home? Doesn't need a port can just get a big screen for Netflix!

Isadora2007 · 31/10/2019 19:28

I pay £35 per month towards their mobile phone contracts as Xmas present... so then they just get smaller bits. Son is getting some spice sets, knives (he’s a chef), washbag, toiletries and alcohol. Daughter is getting new bedding, a washable luxury mattress topper (she’s a mummy), some shower stuff, chocolate and a few vouchers for massage/eyebrow wax etc.

A camera
A coat
New harp strings
Cheap necklace.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/10/2019 19:32

Yes to lovely bedding.

EleanorReally · 31/10/2019 19:33

good question

Gingerkittykat · 31/10/2019 19:38

I've no idea since DD has more disposable income than me and has already bought wireless headphones and a google home device in the past few weeks.

Possibly some nice Dr Martens, always some PJs, maybe some Lush goodies.

Thatagain · 01/11/2019 12:14

My DD might get a tub of chocolates (she has a son)my GS will be getting a new bike a new big dinosaur and I am also looking at a new bed for him new trainers and track suit. Her dp can get her what she wants as she is not a child and I have many children to try and think about for Xmas and I already feel skint

cathpinc · 01/11/2019 12:17

I was going to ask this too! Step daughter. She’s not living at home. I was thinking one of those theatre mirrors with lights round it?
