Hello! DH’s grandma is in a care home and I have no idea what to get her this year. She doesn’t go outside due to mobility and the fear of falling so no need for cosy scarf etc, she used to love a candle but they’re not allowed them in there, she’s on a strict diet as she’s piled on weight so no sweet treats. I’m really at a loss!!!! Any suggestions?!

My DPs elderly nan has requested no smellies this year. She's had a few falls but still lives in her own home so I thought about maybe getting her a couple of pairs of these www.ugg.com/uk/alice-cozy-gripper-sock/192410332458.html?source=eggl_ppc_Apparel+%26+Accessories+Women+%2BUK%2BENG%2BPLA&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9fntBRCGARIsAGjFq5H6aHZ5nITHjKl1SG8rcWF1f6Xc9i05LtnevQnjY7XyLvJwlyLNPoUaAtKYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Last year I made my dad a photo book of the family lots of pictures from across the years . He loves it and often looks through it . The so Photomyne is brilliant for copying old photos then down load them and arrange in the book ( printerpix colorland ect ) Groupon do discounted offers on photo books too . A 140 page a4 colour hardback cost me £15 !!!!

A personalised painting? I bought a painting from an artist who draws peoples homes - if interested I can share the details - it cost £40 i think. Could get a painting commissioned of her previous home to keep in her room?

Socks, you can get ones that are easy to put on, but if you get anything that needs laundering make sure they are identified as hers. My gran swore by these socks when she was in her 90s as she wasn't as good with her hands and they were all she wanted for Christmas.
