Cooperative board games for 11+?

I always get DS a board game for Christmas, and after enjoying forbidden island recently, I thought I'd try another cooperative game.

Would be grateful for any suggestions!

Pandemic is great really recommend it. There's forbidden desert and there's one about a castle and there's also a fire fighting one but I've not played them . . .

Forbidden Island and Pandemic are cut from a very similar cloth. Fans of one will probably love the other. Rather than stopping disease, Forbidden Island is a race against time to save artefacts from a sinking island (basically, you’re Indiana Jones). The mechanics are similar to Pandemic’s, but they play out on a noticeably faster timescale.
I also recommend Hanabi, especially if you want to try something a little different.

There are a few different pandemic games. There is the standard game, and two series of legacy games. The legacy game is my favourite ever board game. There is a story which evolves each time you play it, and you have to tear up cards and make permanent changes to the board as you go.
