My boys are very similar in ages. They are having bikes, but other things they’ll receive from us and others (including for a birthday at that time of year) include:
Lego Batman
Lego Minecraft
Kapla blocks
Playmobil take and carry house
Playmobil swimming pool
Swingball set
Space hopper
Roald Dahl books
Enid Blyton books
See Inside books
Science set(s)
Craft bits
Hotwheels crate set
Theatre ticket
Board games - Labyrinth, Twister, Shark Chase

Equimum · 26/10/2019 13:59

Reading back that list looks quite vulgar and overwhelming, even for me. That is pretty much everything for two children, plus a birthday for my eldest, and includes gifts from other relatives. They don’t get much through the year.

Nabel · 26/10/2019 14:14

DD has a November birthday and DS has a January birthday, they’re both still little (1 and 3) so we’re keeping things simple or it would be too overwhelming for everyone I think!
So..
DD: toy kitchen, books x 3, sticker book, ballet dress & shoes for dance class. Stocking with hair bows, chocolate coins, stickers, satsuma.
DS: Kindle fire, jumper, PJ masks jigsaw, Disney sticker book. Stocking with toy cars, chocolate coins, stickers, satsuma.
Joint present is a wooden Wendy house for the garden.
Family will no doubt go overboard..

Shanilou23 · 26/10/2019 14:28

I don't think your list looks too much, so far I've got
DD
Doll
Pram
High chair
Annual
Bellies
Jewelry set
DS
Playmobil football set
Remote control car
Toy story cars
Lil gleemerz
Playmobil car

We live in Spain & we do 3 kings on the 6th of January so I will get a couple of bits for that aswel usual 3 small gifts.

I'm quite proud of how much I've done so far this year, I usually leave it until December to panic buy. This year my DD 4 has
Lol chalet doll house
Lol maze
Lol furniture packs X4
Some lol balls
snow cone bath thing
Lol bike

My DS 2 has
Captain America kids bike
Hulk avengers toy
Another hulk
Hulk nerf gun
Iron man outfit
Captain America outfit
Mechanics toy station thing

And I'm still not done but I'm half way through

Katiet123 · 26/10/2019 15:16

For DS (2) we have How to train your dragon book (obvs not for him to read imminently), a car road rug, some pj's and a mini dyson that apparently sucks stuff up - I'm a bit doubtful of this as it didn't cost a fortune and was from tk maxx. Clothes for neices are bought too.

Takemyhand · 26/10/2019 18:20

For DD (she’ll be 10 months at Christmas) I’ve got her:
Activity table
Push along walker
Toy musical octopus
X2 That’s not my books
I’ve got all her things so far on the Facebook market place so I’ve probably spent about £15. There’s a couple more bits I’d like to get her but trying to not go overboard.

She’s the only person I’ve bought for so far but I’m going to get some things payday and November’s payday for everyone else

Bluewavescrashing · 26/10/2019 18:24

I've finished 😊 both my kids have Autumn/ Winter birthdays and we have a huge family of keen shoppers, so we haven't bought them much from us. Lego and stocking fillers. Various relatives are buying scooters, craft sets, sports kit, zoo membership, theatre tickets, pyjamas and vouchers for garden toys for the summer. I very lucky that most people in my family choose well or ask for ideas.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/10/2019 18:32

I'm finished too. I have DS(5) and DD(6).

There's:

Medium Lego Batman for both;
Small Lego City for both;
Big Lego City for DS;
3 in 1 Lego Friends for DD;
Worst Witch books for DD;
13 Storey Treehouse books for DS;
Dressing gown and slippers for DD;
Pyjamas and slippers for DS;
Colouring stuff for both;
Plush Go Jetter each (Kyan and Xuli);
Ty Paw Patrol each (Chase and Zuma);
Spider-Man thing for DS;
Walking puppy for DD.

Can't think of much more. Some are stocking bits, not main presents.

No more now though.

Pepperwand · 26/10/2019 19:35

About half way through for the children.

DS1 age 2 is getting a play kitchen, books and a magnetic calendar.

DS2 age 7 months is getting a rucksack for when he starts nursery, a cushion for the feeding chair in his room and some plastic plates and bowls.

They're both getting stockings with a few extra little bits in them...toothbrush, small soft toy, socks etc.

I have two DSs aged 12 & 10. This year we discussed having a smaller Christmas budget and therefore more to spend on experiences/holidays throughout the year, and both were in agreement.

They have -

DS1
phone upgrade (minimal cost & he's not that fussed but ds2 will start with a better phone than he started with so I'm trying to be fair)
Penguin boxed set of mini-classics.
History book - he will specify and hasn't yet.
Geography based board game, so he can thrash and mock me!
Wordsmithery
Arc de Triomphe model
Hoodie - either Hamilton or his football team
Hamilton guitar book
Wicked book

Ds2
His first phone - basic smartphone
Screen for his projector
As many animal soft toys as I can get from charity shops between now and then - he's asked for loads, but will be getting two max if I buy new.
Krew Hoodie
Krew stationery set
Araina Grande calendar
Eiffel tower model
Bubble tea set
Hamilton notebook

Stockings will be stationery / sweets / toiletries. I'm not buying any gimmicky shit this year and may put some of the above in if there's not enough. They'll get very little else from anyone but I'm happy they'll like what they've got and there won't be waste.
