Oh stockings....and I know about Toys for £1 for stocking fillers but I seem to remember another website but can't remember what it's called, if anyone can help?

My tried and tested nursery gift was always £10 a head in a card addressed to the room staff saying have a drink on us at your night out.

DH is a teacher and best presents he's been given were vouchers or a plant (a cactus). He gets lots of chocolate / wine and we use a lot of it to bulk out hampers for people or it won't get eaten.

9 year old girl - pretty stationary?
12 year old girl - ask parent for ideas or amazon voucher so she can pick something?

I've just bought my 4yo nephew a walking, roaring dinosaur.

No idea about stocking filler sites, sorry!

For the nursery staff / Beavers helpers, I’d be getting candles, diffusers or socks (I like socks 😀).

A website called Poundtoy for cheap stocking fillers.

For the two young girls look on Sass&Belle, loads of girly stuff there, really pretty and not expensive.

I like the idea of money in a card for their night out/xmas party!

12 year old girl - costa, Starbucks or cinema voucher? All the pre-teens here love going to Starbucks etc.

4 year old - character pj's?

8 year old girl - jewellery making kit if crafty? Lots of sets on amazon around that price range - friendship bracelet kits and the such like.

Nursery teachers/beavers helpers - something consumable. Wine or chocs. Easy to re-gift if they get too many!

Stocking fillers - there's a thread running here about no tat stocking fillers which would be worth a look. Depending on age range for stockings
Socks
Sweets
Book
Magazine
Voucher (book token, amazon etc.)
Cards or card game (top trumps, game Wright games etc.)
Wind up torch
Stationery
Toiletries
Expanding face flannels
Lego blind bags
Small teddy
Phone power bank
Gemstones/rocks
Annual (ok, won't fit in the stocking but we always had one by our stocking in the morning, so have continued the tradition
T-shirt or pj's (rolled up)

Costa or equivalent for nursery staff / beaver leaders. Or for beaver leaders just a card to each saying thank you & something they've particularly enjoyed with or because of that person. I run a similar group & would love that more than a generic gift, esp when kids have made the cards. But obviously it's lovely just to be thought of

lotsofthingstolearn · 25/10/2019 14:22

Thanks everyone

@TryingtobePrepared you're right a card will suffice and maybe a chocolate orange etc.

I've found a couple of FIMO sets which I think will fit the bill for 8YO. Seen that Hobbeycraft have 342 on at the mo

4YO a mini remote controlled car

Amazon voucher for 12 YO

Nursery yet TBC but happy with progress- thanks !

In the past I've done a big hamper with posh teas, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and cakes and taken it in the first week of December to enjoy in the staff room. I've also done a Christmas decoration hung round the neck of a bottle of proseco
