How old? We always have a bag of chocolate coins and a satsuma, then maybe a pack of pens, small notebook. I've been known to have a sticker book/space scene with stickers, colouring book and pencils and an annual.

My boys are 9 and 6. I go with stuff that can be used without my help and keeps them occupied til a decent time in the morning. No idea about teenagers but I guess the ideas cross over a fair bit.
