What Hot Wheels sets to buy

My sons will be 4 and 7 at Christmas and both love playing with Hot Wheels tracks at other people's houses. So much to buy though. I thought they could have a started set to tracks to build as a join t gift and then each have some accessories/extra to open. They have a gazillion cars so don't need more of those. Can anyone tell me which track sets are good starter sets and which extras are worth having as the many possibilities are making my head hurt x

I saw this set in Tesco the other day, my kids still love hot wheels and are now 9&7. Tesco also had the hot wheels car transporter half price. I’m in ROI but they probably have similar in UK Tesco.

One without batteries

The ones with them are so loud and the batteries run out very quickly

We got one in smyths for £25 and it's been great

I’ve seen a box somewhere where you can build your own, we’ve had lots of the tracks over the years but they always get taken apart due to space so be aware of how much room you have.
I usually look whats available then look at reviews on YouTube

We have just bought ds the hot wheels track builder set that comes in a box so you can build your own tracks and have somewhere to pack it away when done, plus his cars can go in the box after. It gets played with more than the other sets.

We bought the alligator car wash set last Xmas. When you use warm and cold water the cars change colour. They love it! We've had plenty of use out of it and will be buying another set to join on this Xmas

Be aware, not all hotwheels track fits together (or it certainly doesn’t seem to). We had a battery operated set which was pretty dismal. My two have played far more with a construction and crash set. They also love the set that comes in a crate and you can race the cars down (it’s about £40). Our neighbours have it, and they all love it.

Oh that is interesting Equimum thank you. I was actually just looking at that set in Argos
