Due DC 5 at the end of November so I’m as smug as a smug thing over here about how organised I’m feeling.

My list because I absolutely love reading what everyone else has bought.

DS 15

Trainers
Jumper
Tracksuit bottoms
Aftershave
Xbox game
Loose leaf tea set
Books, chocolate, Cinema voucher, socks in stocking

DS14
Footy boots
T-shirt
Tracksuit bottoms
Shower gel set
Training kit bag
Books, chocolate, Nando’s voucher and socks in stocking

DD12
Make up brush set and cosmetics organiser
Tickets for a show
Baking bits top up
Books x a million
Make up bits, sweets, Costa voucher and pjs in stocking

DS4
Bike
Duplo set
Colouring book and sticker set
Toy car, bath toy, chocolate in stocking.

DH I do a luxury item stocking for, so fancy items of what he usually has. Mini booze sweets bamboo socks

Costa, cinema, and Nando’s vouchers for our teen DNs.

Meal out for my DPs and an afternoon tea booked for DMil with hand cream to open.

Unborn DC5 has a teddy and a pack of dummies.

Fabric/gift bag wrapping so just a pack of cards to send to older relatives and the food shop to book.

Saved a fortune thanks to the bargain thread so a big thank you to all.

Only half way through my lists so far, need loads more ideas for Male stocking fillers.

Well done Xmas Grin

Put your feet up, have a Brew and avoid The Twitch.

(Bet'cha you'll be lured by the allure of The Twitch ) Xmas Wink

winterisstillcoming · 09/10/2019 22:18

Yass! Well done!

Now try not to twitch, or return anything for something else.

Enjoy the smug!

bikinibottommuffintop · 09/10/2019 22:29

I’ve saved a tiny little pot of cash for any last minute twitches

Wow so organised!
Did you wrap them already?!
I've brought a few things for my DS but
Have a rough idea of what toys I want to get him.

bikinibottommuffintop · 09/10/2019 23:24

Nothing wrapped but I fabric wrap so it’s a very quick process, literally grab the DCs colour fabric, fold and quick knot. Years of me sobbing over a sellotape dispenser are no more.

Very impressed! Love our lists.

*your!

livingthegoodlife · 10/10/2019 11:59

Well done! Love your lists. I'm getting there but no ideas for siblings or parents yet.

everythingisginandroses · 11/10/2019 23:01

I'm impressed, sounds lovely Xmas Smile

Chilledout11 · 11/10/2019 23:07

Fantastic work.. I thought I was organised but you are superwoman

Mostly bought and delivered here.

Going to be strange this year as I am waiting for a mastectomy and reconstruction in November followed by chemo so I am trying to get everything done in October .

I have 26 people to buy for of which 11 are for away and so I would like to get those ready to post .

My girls ( grown up in their 30s) have a shoebox on Christmas morning with bits and bobs in
Satsuma
Nuts
Apple( all of these straight back into fruit bowl - bit it’s traditional innit !)
Choc coins
Paper cotton buds
Coffee molecule necklace ( cheap from eBay)
Small embroidered soft clutch bag ( “. “. )
Grow your own crystal tree. ( traditional again since DH was trying to swot a fly 25 years ago and got the trees with his newspaper - time slowed down as they twinkled through the air )
Hair twists
Cute egg bashed that takes the top off an egg neatly .
Socks
Glasses cleaning cloth with photo of the three dgc on .absolutely fab

Will hold off for 3dgc until dd has clearer idea but 9 yr old wants skateboard , 7 year old a clean and peaceful world and Daim bars .
3 year old anything sparkly .

DH has been a star this gruelling time and I might get him a photo book done of his precious 1954 series one Landy that has just been restored although we are not sure how to get it the 260 miles back home . The plan was to drive it gently up the A roads stopping off at nice b&b pubs on the way but my health has put a kybosh on that .

Ooh I wonder if I could have it secretly moved to here and put a big bow on it !! ?

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/10/2019 07:22

Trumpton Thanks and best wishes for your treatment and recovery.

I'm mostly done too - apart from DH. I'm saving some last minor bits to have a shopping trip with my DDs but apart from that I'm sorted.

duckme · 12/10/2019 13:59

Fabric wrapping sounds interesting! How does this work? Is it expensive? I've bought brown paper and butchers twine for the past few years. This year I've bought recyclable tape too. The virtuous feeling does not outweigh the fact that it is utterly useless for wrapping presents! Cost a bloody fortune too.

FinnBalorsAbs · 12/10/2019 14:04

I love these threads! Congratulations.

And hooray for me because thanks to this thread I have learned of personalised photo glasses cleaning cloths and now just ordered one each for DM and DMIL!

AnneKipanki · 12/10/2019 14:15

Fabric wrapping sounds brilliant.

LightandShadows · 13/10/2019 23:22

Ooh I wonder if I could have it secretly moved to here and put a big bow on it

Now that sounds like a good idea, do you have any family members or good friends in that direction, they could drive it slowly down and be a double surprise.

Trumpton · 14/10/2019 18:50

Hmm it all looks too trick to get it here . It involves a 260 mile drive then a 4hour ferry .
Looks like it might be socks this year !

lilabet2 · 14/10/2019 19:08

@Trumpton- Just wanted to add more best wishes for your treatment and op! The shoe boxes sound lovely. Also your 7 year old DGC's request for a "clean and peaceful world and Daim bars" made me laugh!

OP, that sounds brilliant too!

Trumpton · 14/10/2019 19:32

@lilabet2
Thank you for your good wishes . It’s been hard work !
DH has almost decided to see if he can store Landy where it’s been restored until the spring .
I am due to see surgeon 30th October with the operation as soon as feasibly possible . 6 weeks recovery will take us right up to Christmas .
Going to start wrapping tomorrow !

bikinibottommuffintop · 14/10/2019 20:45

Someone on my local Facebook page was getting rid of a load of Christmas themed fat quarters a couple of years back. I just shove the present in the middle, tuck round a bit and tie in a bow! Absolute breeze. We’ve all got our own colour or theme (DD has winter animals, for eg). I supplement the fabric stash with tea towels and scarves picked up cheap in charity shops.

One2Three4Five6 · 15/10/2019 12:20

I'm almost done, just 3 more people to buy for (1 is DH but I know exactly what I'm getting him, the other two I need to mooch around the shops to gain some inspiration)
By the end of October I think I will be finished with present buying.
Just need to start stashing the non perishable food items, then perishable stuff nearer the time.
And I should have some pennies in November/December just in case of last minute twitches.

Now I just need to start wrapping it all, I hate wrapping with a passion... (One of my many reasons for a scaled back Christmas)
