Hi, can anyone recommend a remote control car with a decent battery life/play time suitable for a 5 year old please?

This thread is a little old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for a great remote control car, we’ve recently updated our best RC cars page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users and their kids. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I’m not sure whether the battery life is exactly great, as we’ve yet to find something good in that regard, but we bought our 6year old the Nikko Velocitrax from Smyths and the car has lasted really well, and is very easy to play with.

We like the fact that this one came with two batteries, so when one went (after about 20 mins) we just put the other one in and carried on. www.amazon.co.uk/SZJJX-Remote-Control-Electric-Vehicle/dp/B07T7TB8JB?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Thank you. The ones with a spare battery look the best as none of them seem to have a long play time.

I'm not having much luck finding a good one at all as most reviews seem split between great and crap with none lasting long at all (cars or batteries). He's wanting Father Christmas to bring him this gift so it's really important it's a good one.
