I have made it for years.I used to make one for my dad as well- he was always convinced it was my mum's receipe. I never told him it wasn't and I liked Delia's better.

I might make both

This is another Delia recipe which is a bit different (only a bit) and very tasty. I use chopped apricots,not quartered. You can leave the walnuts out but they really add to the taste and texture. Also I use brandy rather than drambuie but it's a detail! Definitely my favourite Christmas cake recipe.
