I'm not sure of the amount we are spending yet per dc, need to talk to dh, but so far we have bought this scooter and this ice cream trolley

Macmaccat · 29/09/2019 18:24

Mine was 3 in September. She’s getting a bike (bargain from Argos £45 from £80) and some other bits to go with it. She’s the youngest of 5 so find it hard to buy for her as we have a lot already. Budget for her and the next one up is approx 150 Euro but I’m not that strict with it. Last year she was under budget. I like her and the 6 year old to have the same number of presents rather than the same amount Spent.

Biancadelrioisback · 29/09/2019 18:35

We've spent around £150 I think.
He's got:
a paw patrol ultimate toy
A floor piano
Books
DVDs
Do'nutters the game
Playdoh set
Vtech toot toot set

Then in his stocking he has:
Some packs of seeds
Temporary tattoos
Hat
Gloves
Santa whistle

I've spent about £400 on my three year old but she turns 4 on Christmas Eve so I'll split everything I've bought in half.

randomusername · 29/09/2019 18:45

No idea how much I've spent/will be spending in total - darent add it up 😂
My DC2 will be nearly 3 at Xmas, she's getting: an easel as her main present. Melissa and Doug dough set, tin of paints, dot-to-dot book, maze books, ball and cup and walking cups. Plus a dolls house which is a joint present for all 3! She has been requesting a dolls pram over past few days so that might end up getting her that too. And a small stocking. 😳😳😳

RushianDisney · 29/09/2019 18:53

So far I have got DD a phonics keyboard, and electric drum thing (2 for £15 at Argos) some Spirit playmobile, a few dressing up costumes from Etsy, a Melissa and Doug key house and some Liberty print hair clips. Will also be getting some more play doh nearer the time, and she has asked for a dinosaur umbrella. I have my eye on a wooden block castle set from FAO Schwartz and an Aladdin tea set too. Will add in some books too, some Percy the Park keeper, Little People Big Dreams and Winnie the witch. I'm buying a few little bits a week to spread the cost, but it's getting hard hiding it all!

MileyWiley · 29/09/2019 18:57

Valley - same here. DD3 is 4 Christmas week. I just buy at the moment - probably about £300-400 worth and split it nearer the time. I tend to specify what she would actually like to DH family to avoid overloads of unwanted gifts and my family tend to buy experiences such as tickets - last year it was Room on the Broom tickets, this year it's going to see Gruffalo Child on her actually birthday from my DP for 5 of us plus what ever merchandise etc she sees on the day.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 29/09/2019 19:24

@randomusername wilko have a dolls parm (linked) for £7 x

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 29/09/2019 19:32

I’m following as I’m not sure. DD wants a two storey play house with 3 beds for her dolls and a kitchen. I’ve told her the elves will have to measure up.

I’m not going to buy until much later this year to avoid over shopping.

Biancadelrioisback · 29/09/2019 19:38

My DS turns 3 the week before but I'm really anal and pre-separate birthday and Christmas presents.

coragreta · 29/09/2019 20:19

DD is 4 just before Xmas. I'm spending £50 max on Christmas, picked up a few good fb bargains and she's inheriting a large collection of polly pockets Santa thoughtfully saved just for her 😉 might spend a little more in birthday but no more than 80. She wants a Barbie dream house but not sure I can stretch to that.

HJWT · 29/09/2019 20:23

@Biancadelrioisback great stocking ideas! Thanks 😁

@hormonesorDHbeingadick we usually go out and do a big shop in November ! We don't have anywhere to store it so makes buying in the sales hard work 😌
