We go to Edinburgh with our 2 every year, alongside the typical market stalls they have plenty for the children, rides, Christmas tree maze and of course Santa. We did the illuminated trail through the botanical gardens last year and plan to go again this year aswell.

I only know the ones local to me. Bournemouth was lovely, lots of lights on a trail through the parks, big christmas market.
Southampton is rubbish!

York. Or Bury St Edmunds has a nice one.

Lincoln is huge, but can be very busy.

I did Oslo and Stuttgart last year with my daughters (then aged 13 and 11). Oslo was tremendous - nice market, not huge, but rides and ice skating too. And, if you get the time right, and have snow on the ground, you can easily head into the hills outside Oslo on the metro to ride the korketrekkeren - a 2km toboggan ride through the forests. Absolutely awesome for kids of all ages.

Stuttgart is an enormous Christmas market. Beautiful stalls, and very well done.

This year, we are going to Copenhagen. It has several different markets dotted through the city, and Tivoli would be brilliant for kids the ages of yours.

I've been to Munich and Berlin's markets pre kids. Berlin was absolutely freezing (winds from Russia!), so would suggest Munich.

The main city is relatively compact and there are stalls in several areas. It never felt crowded, and wasn't full of people getting pissed on Gluhwein!

Oh, meant to add look at Nuremberg too. Went there in the summer but that would be another good spot for Christmas markets.
