Brio my first train set

Clothes in next size up

Packet of whatever snacks he/she likes

Bauble

There’s a “my first orchestra” or similar set of bells and shakers aimed at one year olds.

My daughters first Christmas she was about this age.
She got a happyland farm. She was a not young for it to start with but liked to gum on the animals. She really grew into it through the year and still plays with it now aged 2.5
We also got her lots of books. Usborne do some lovely musical books - look at "Farm Sounds" or "Babys Bedtime Music Book" - with buttons that young babies can actually press.

Stocking ideas:
Bath toys
Stacking cups
Sensory balls
Small set of sensory/rainbow blocks. Or just plain blocks
Set of happy land figures
Set of first cars (either chunky plastic ones or wooden ones.)
Small cloth or board book (that’s not my... ones are a good size)
Teething toy
Toy to hang on the pushchair
Shaker
Baby snacks
Sippy or doidy cup
Loose parts (eg Grapat rings- my 8 month old loves chomping on these and my three year old uses them most days, even the 13 year old is often found stacking them or making patterns etc Grin)
A space blanket
Vests/babygrows in the next size up
Sponge, bubble bath etc

Three of mine have been aged 10-12 months at Christmas, their main presents have been
A seesaw/rocker thing
Happyland zoo
Pikler triangle (for the baby who will be 11 months this Christmas- will be his birthday present too and we’ll just give him something tiny to open on his birthday as they are very expensive!)

Oh yes mine always get a tree decoration in their stockings too! Should have a fairly decent collection by the time they leave home

Mine had sit and ride toys for first Xmas. Hand blown glass bauble each year. Books, puzzle tray with alphabet. One child had a baby swing seat for garden swing as older child had a seat. New dressing gown.

My step granddaughter (1) I am buying a keyboard, and one of those cushions with sequins which reverse to make a new colour (she loves those). Oh, and some weird monkey teether toy apparently - dd (7) reckons we saw this when we were in Spain last, and that she knows where to get it, and that the baby will love it...... We’re going over again before Christmas, but we’ll see!

Bath toys or toys that move around and make noises.
