What are you getting your 17 y/o

No need for more tech (& worked all summer + not a big spender, so money not an exciting option), I usually end up going for clothes or an event ticket, but would be interested to hear what all your teens would like / are getting.

Driving lessons

We bought our boy who turned 17 two weeks ago a 10 year old black Corsa. He was utterly thrilled. Might be out of many people's budgets though.

Unhelpfully she's not keen to learn to drive at the moment otherwise I'd be sorted - she did think about it in the summer, but doesn't really go places that aren't easy by bike/public transport.

Spotify subscription went down well!

New updated iPad (to replace her old one) ready for when she goes to university.

Subscription is a good idea. Music she has her own supply & is very particular (!), and the GPs have nabbed Netflix, but I'm wondering if there's something else along those lines. Steam games used to be a thing but don't seem to be anymore.

Mine is getting £200 cash, thinking of Alexa too for her bedroom. Few bits and pieces like skin care stuff. Not really a make up user but starting to wear mascara and blucher so have started picking cheap bits up in Superdrug and Primark.

Just bumping this thread now we're getting nearer to Christmas in the hope of some more good ideas!
