Watching. My three year old adores the Winnie the Witch books, her dolls house and the Melissa & Doug pet vet set at the minute. Looking for more inspiration!

Mine’s getting dolls, furniture and dolls house - spread between Christmas and her birthday that’s just before. The dollshouse was an Aldi bargain earlier in the year, the dolls and furniture are second hand from eBay - but she’ll love them regardless. I’ve made an Amazon wish list of lovely books and will ask family to buy off that if they ask for ideas.

Maybe it was just us, but I bought my 3 year old son play mobile, the police boat etc set and a fire engine and a police riot van yet disappointingly, all vehicles keep having parts fall off over and over again. My 3 yr old found this really frustrating and quickly stopped playing with it all.
This year I’m going for a wooden kitchen play set for he and his sister to play with together.

HappyInL0nd0n · 17/11/2019 22:12

Lego, Winnie the Witch books, craft stuff, clothes. Place-marking for more inspiration!

queenofelves · 17/11/2019 22:27

Playmobil aquarium, toy story Lego, belle dress up, solider dress up and our generation doll + horse she's set on.

Stocking is watch (been asking for a while, cheap off amazon as no doubt it will break Grin), magnifying glass, little bag, pjs.

Family have got outfits, walkie talkies, Sylvanian families, jigsaws, wooden clock to help tell the time etc etc..

Great ideas here, thanks!

My three year old doesn’t have her heart set on anything and changes each time I ask her. I think she’d really like a little bike, and is obsessed with Toy Story, so will get something related to that.

Rainatnight · 17/11/2019 22:37

On the Melissa and Doug house, it was actually recommended to us by a play therapist to explain to DD (and DS, who are both adopted), how they’d come from one house, lived in another (foster care), and now lived with us (forever). I’m not sure Melissa and Doug has this in mind when designing it but it’s very handy! Grin
