If you could only have one thing at Christmas, what would it be? Can be a food, a scent, a song, an experience, a place... but only one.

I’m torn between the taste of stuffing and the scent of cloves.

Probably the sound of the dc's feet on the stairs on xmas eve after they have had a bath and are in their new pjs coming downstairs to watch a Christmas film together.

The bit on Christmas Eve where everything is done, and the house is full of the smell of coke gammon and Christmas scented candles. I always prefer the run up to the actual day.

I love reading about all these little moments and sensations. I’m especially touched by the stillness. I’m going to try and incorporate a bit of deliberate stillness this year if that make sense.

TV!! I love the Christmas specials

One more proper family dinner like we had before everyone started getting boyfriends and girlfriends and the family fell apart. We went from a dinner of 16 to a dinner of 6 on a good year, 3 when it’s just us. I miss it.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I've read it every year at Christmas since I was a child and it sums up everything I love about the season. I couldn't be without it.

I want RoseMartha to get what she needs. It makes my wish to get the house as tidy as I’d like it seem shallow.

Tinsel. I grew up with tinsel at Christmas on everything. :D If it sat still long enough, it was decorated with tinsel. :)
