Favourite stocking fillers for children

I always put Christmas socks, chocolate coins and a satsuma in my 2's stockings. Then 3 small gifts, some things from the poundshop and chocolate.

I find it so easy to get small gifts for my dd (7) - I've already picked up things for her in the sales. I've got one thing for my ds (12) - a light up lego key ring but find it much harder to get him things.

What do you put in your dc's stockings?

These are all brilliant.

Muji sometimes do 3D cardboard puzzles like knights and samurais - they went down well!

This year DD has

Some glittery hair slides from Claire's
Pack of pants with unicorns on
Fluffy bed socks
A Smiggle pencil case that changes colour
A pack of scented pens
A mermaid costume for her Build a Bears
A unicorn snap band
LOL doll lil sister

I try to put in a mix of useful stuff (pants, socks etc) and garish plastic tat that she loves but I don't normally buy the rest of the year because I'm mean Grin

Following Smile

My DS was almost 3 last Christmas and he got fun socks and pants, bath crayons, chocolate, and a postman pat van from home bargains which was the "main" present. I think he got a couple of other bits but I can't remember what!

Last year's favourite item for both was a drawstring toiletry bag (with toothbrush, paste, expandable flannel etc inside).
Plasters.. my DDs always need them

I plan on buying Perfume Parlour scents as stocking fillers for older children. I've also requested a 24-bottle deal on their page for a build-your-own advent calendar Grin

I’m avoiding pointless crap and limiting it to 10 items. Socks and pants (character ones for younger children) always get included. A lush bath bomb, Lego figure, pens/other stationery, a blind bag of some kind as well as sweets and things. Small soft toy like a beanie boo.
