Music player to play Spotify

I’m looking for a music device for my 9yo
DS for Christmas. I want him to be able to access Spotify but not the internet or any messaging services. Does such a thing exist?

Echo dot or google home mini? Or do you want him to be able to take it out with him?

Sonos speakers are amazing but they cost £££

I was also going to say Echo Dot or Sonos (pricey) but then wondered if you meant portable?

www.mightyaudio.co.uk/ this device claims to offer an offline portable access to spotify. As far as I know it's this of a discontinued ipod touch. There really should be more in the (young) kid safe space.

We have Sonos speakers in the house and they play Spotify and radio stations as well as audiobooks via audible.

So do Sonos speakers have a spotify interface on them? I mean, can you create and keep play lists on them?

Or do they just act as a conduit to a third-party device like a phone or ipod touch?

Because if the former, they sound great!

Thanks for replies he has an echo dot, we also have a sonas speaker in the house. @rubaiyatOfAnyone they’re just third party devices. I’m looking for something portable that he can listen to when we’re traveling.
