I love Christmas! I want to add some extra room decorations this year, but I’m on a budget so it’ll probably be just one. I love the idea of a Christmas village. What are you favourite room decorations that make the room feel really special?

My absolute favourite is my tree, with all of my special baubles/ornaments, tinsel & twinkly lights on-I like to get at least one new ornament a year!!
Other than that, I have a shelve with little Christmassy ornaments of Peter Rabbit, Me-To-You Bears & a cloudy/misty white lamp of 3 girls carolling around a Victorian street lamp.
Also a light up canvas with a snowy cottage scene on.

I've got photos of the kids, my mum etc up on the walls, last year they all wore tiny stick-on santa hats, much to the amusement of everyone who noticed.

I love my wrapped up empty boxes that have genuine 70s Xmas paper on them. I saw a thread here one year with an eBay link to buy the paper and it was too good to use to wrap real presents as it would be gone but too lovely to not use. So I wrapped an assortment of boxes and they’re my fake presents by the fireplace in December. I love them.

I have an Advent Tree (bought from QVC when they did loads of American Christmas products) It's resin, with 24 hooks , a handpainted little cupboard with 24 doors and tiny ornaments to hang each day .
It's about 18" high, and has pride of place through December .

I love scented candles , (I nearly bought one in TKMaxx yesterday) . Though Yankee have proved a bit meh of late and I have 2 new cats so I'll need to be aware of the safety of candles and decorations . I can use my LED candles so safety and no glass baubles .

Pre-Lit wreath on the door ( it has a timer) always feels really festve Xmas Grin

I have some tiny wooden squirrels that I put around on shelves, picture frames and window sills.

I also have a small handmade totoro to go on the Christmas tree which I love.

Wrwreath for my front door, makes me smile when I come home.

25-sock advent calendar I made of fabric and felt when I was pregnant. They're tied to a festive string and draped across the wall. Each sock can hold the equivalent of 2 Twixes Grin

Knitivity my mum made.

Various baubles that remind me of people and past Christmases, and past holidays.

The patchwork tree skirt that DD and I made a couple of years ago.

I have a Willow Tree Nativity set that I add to each year. It takes pride of place on my hall table. I spend the Christmas period moving the pieces around to get them 'just so' and Advent is punctuated by me yelling at intervals 'Who moved Joseph, he doesn't go there and you know it!" My family love winding me up and placing shepherds etc centre stage!
